Absolut Just about anything - decent vodka is very easy to mix into tons of drinks I just wouldn't waste good vodka on a mixer...
Screwdrivers
Electric Lemonade
Vodka martinis
Sea Breeze
Sex on the Beach
on the rocks
chilled and neat
the list goes on and on....
Flavored vodkas work well in some drinks - Stoli Vanil is very good in Coke
Tanqueray
Tanqueray and tonic
Gin Martinis
Tom Collins
plenty of other stuff, but I don't know off the top of my head - I can't stand the taste of gin - kinda like drinking paint thinner.
Jim Beam
Beam and Coke
Mint Julep - works better with bourbon rather than straight whisky on the rocks
Cutty Sark
Scotch and club soda
on the rocks
straight
Seagrams VO
Boilermakers :-)
Whisky sours (can also be made with bourbon whisky for a different taste)
Whisky is often served with a sidecar rather than mixed in something else. It can be mixed with a variety of soft drinks like Coke and 7-Up.
Cuervo
Margaritas
Bacardi
Rum and Coke
Rum Runners
Pina Colada
Many fruity drinks are made with rum - it's lighter flavor makes it easier to mix.
Vermouth
Martinis
Manhattan
Dry vermouth is rarely consumed straight. Red vermouth is sometimes drank as an aperitif.
Triple Sec - Normally used as a flavoring in other drinks
Sex on the Beach
Long Island Iced Tea
Cosmopolitan
Sangria
Kahlua
Mudslide
White/Black Russian
B-52
Amaretto
Amaretto Sours
The Godfather
The rest are stand-alone drinks. Wines are sometimes blended, but I don't think blending a Sauvignon Blanc with a Cab would be such a good idea, but I could be wrong... :)
I suppose the mixers are part of the deal. (The 2 alcohol lists were only only alcohol) That's good. I was wondering if anyone was actually going to be able to get mixed drinks.
The reason we're thinking white is because it's going to be July....really warm. If we do white, you will both be wearing white. We are undecided about the vests and bowties, though. They will probably not be the same.
