I need to write a strength training program for a multi-event track athlete who's goal is to increase her upper body strength. What kind of weights do women usually use? This is someone that has never done a strength training program before. I'm assuming her lower body is stronger because of track. I'm having her do 4 sets of 6 reps with 2 min. rests. My split for her is:
Day 1 - chest & back
Day 2 - lower body & abs
Day 3 - arms & shoulders
I'm so stuck. I really have no idea what a woman can bicep curl or bench press......
Any information you can give me would be greatly appriciated.
