So I'm supposed to go up to the outlets in Michigan City pretty soon, I don't know exactly when this is supposed to happen. They have a Le Gourmet Chef and another store more focused on cookware and less on gadgetry, but I'm sort of looking forward to it. Even if it's a look-but-don't-buy trip. Kinda hard to make potato douphanois without a mandolin.
As a corollary, I'm sort of afraid of the mandolin. I almost sliced all my fingers open on Tuesday because of one. I'd much rather just use a knife, which might sound weird because almost all accidents happen with knives.
Thanksgiving is coming up in a few weeks and I still don't know what I want to cook. It doesn't help that we've had a truly delicious T-giving menu set in stone for several years now.
I could walk around the city all day and not get bored. I think I must have some sort of hidden affinity or liking of urban exploration.
Not having an mp3 player is bothering me for the first time since my iPod quit life. And I'm kind of burned out on iPods. I had some bad luck with mine that I'm not eager to repeat.
