Let me just tell you that I had such a blast at the Falcon's game on Monday. I went straight home after i had class and as soon as I got to Chris's house and changed it was time to get on the road again to go to Atlanta. We brought food and everything to tail gate and we went to a place called "The Gulch" to park. Apparently the Gulch is a place where a bunch of people go to tailgate. So we parked and cooked hot dogs on a little grill that Chris had brought. I am not a fan of hotdogs, but let me tell you that these were probably the best hotdogs that I had ever had! We also brought fruit, chips, and cookies. So we sat in chairs in the bed of Chris's truck and ate and talked for a while. Then we went over into the main area where there were some games going on in The Gulch. We ran into Pat which is one of Chris's family friends. I met her once while we were in St. Augustine. She was so surprised to see us. We talked with her for a while and she ended up giving us a bunch of movie tickets and Delta air miles, since she works for Delta (I wonder what will happen with that since they just filed for bankruptcy today). After we talked to Pat for a while, we went up to the main area where EVERYTHING was going on. They had games, a concert going on, people who were on the Falcons in the past to sign footballs and helmets, and they even had the broadcasters there doing their pre-game shows. It was crazy and there was people EVERYWHERE! Chris and I both got our face painted with a Falcon on it. It was cute. We sat and watched the band perform for a little while and then we decided to go inside and wait for the game to start. We got to our seats and I swear there was just as many Eagles fans in our section as there was Falcons fans. Like I swear it was like the only section that they could get tickets for. It was crazy. Right before the game started, both of the teams were on the field warming up and then all of the sudden everyone started running toward the middle of field. I was like what the heck is going on?? They were fighting even before the game started. It was crazy! I took a picture of it...lol. Two people got ejected from the game before the game even started! When the game started it was so freaking loud. Other than Georgia games I had never been to a game where the fans were as loud as they were. Crazy Crazy! The game was really good and I actually got into it. There were numerous fights in the stands around us between Falcons and Eagles fans. One of the guys that got into a fight had to be at least 50. I was like dude you are old enough to know that you shouldn't get into a fight over a football game, I mean, really, grow up! Another guy got punched in the head and was bleeding and some girl fell down the stairs. There was plenty of drama let me tell you! The Georgia Tech band performed at Halftime and the whole Dome booed at them...I guess they were all Georgia fans...lol...it was pretty funny. So the Falcons ended up winning 14-10 which was a pretty intense game. I am glad that my first Falcons game I went to that they won! When we got out into the parking lot at the end of the game, there were cars everywhere and no one was moving, so Chris and I decided that instead of wasting gas and sitting in traffic that we would just sit in his truck and wait until the traffic died down. It was nice to sit in the truck and just talk :) We didn't end up getting home until 2:45 or so and I didn't get to bed until 3:30 or so. If you know me, you know that is late and that I have to get a lot of sleep for me to be able to function. I ended up just skipping my first class at 11 so that I could sleep in.
We have a new roommate now. She moved in today. She was living with a group of girls who drank, partied, and had boys in their apartment every night. They told her that it was going to happen whether she wanted it to or not and so she better get used to it. I don't blame her for leaving. I would have done the same thing. From what she told us she probably won't be in our apartment that much so it won't be that big of a deal because we had gotten used to it only being the 3 of us. Anyways...well there was my last couple of days in a nutshell. I am going to get to bed because I still have recuperated from the game on Monday! Goodnight :)
