Ok really this is a rant about U of T and Rosi, but I was so inspired by listening to Common, as I always am, that I had to put that as my subject line.
So this is a ridiculous story. Last week I check Rosi and just to see when I'm going to register for my 4th year courses and I happen to peruse my financial accounts and oh, what's this? I'm in the red by 62 cents? Ok I think what's the point of that, they might as well round down and I don't think too much about it. So I call the registrar's office and ask I owe 62 cents to U of T, will this be a problem, and they tell me, yes, in fact it IS a problem and that I might not be able to register for my courses if I don't pay them off.
So usually I just go to the bank to pay them off, so when I go to the bank and write out my 62 CENT CHEQUE, my efforts are further frustrated by the banker telling me that I need an invoice to pay for my $0.62 problem. Of course no 62 cent invoice has been sent so last thursday we send this cheque by mail to u of t. I call today and they still haven't recieved the money, and today's the day I have to register for my courses. Now I was already complaining that they had me registering late (I hope I get all my courses)but luckily I don't have to pick til 4 pm so I had enough time to tell my poor girlfriend to walk all the way to the controller's office and pay in person my $0.62 fee.
My god, all this for 62 cents, those penny pinching bastards.
Well I'm done, hopefully I get my courses in 3 hours
mu out.
