Aloha, from the Garden State

So Jane, Emily, Britta and I went to Niagara Falls yesterday.

It was an interesting drive up, taking a whole 2 hours. Whoa, I know. We decided to park in the new Casino, because of the free parking with a Players' Advantage card. We were walking into the Casino when Emily realized she forgot her Driver's Licence in London and couldn't get into the casino at all. The three of us had fun, and lost a fair bit of money.

We walked to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch, where flys came out of my salad. Luckily, I got that taken off the bill. We went to the Hersey's store, Planet Hollywood and that strip area. Then, we went on the Maid of the Mist. Which is a really awesome boat ride right up the Horseshoe Falls. Water got everywhere and we were hanging on for dear life at some points. But it was fickin' awesome!

Jane wanted Tooney Tuesday from KFC, so we parked in the Duty free and ran into Casino Niagara. However. The only way out of Duty Free is over the bridge into America. Which presents a problem for yours truly. Only being a Perminate Resident, not a citizen means that I have to show three forms of ID (passport, pr card and something else). I of course didn't have anything BUT Driver's licence. So I freaked out. I did. I won't hide it, I was almost in tears. But I told the US guard that everyone was Canadian and we had made a mistake. We had to pay $3.50 to get back over the bridge, where once again we were asked for ID. We explained to her what had happened and she asked if we were all Canadians. Again I said yes.

So, if anyone wants to get into America, it appears to be easy.

We went to Niagara on the Lake, where all the winerys are and Jane and I bought some wine. Had a nice drive back to the Falls to watch the Falls change colous. Then back to London, and regular life!
