I wasn’t looking at you that day, but I couldn’t bear
You’re too beautiful, and from afar you glow
I wish someday to hold your pretty hands
And together we’ll watch the river endlessly flow.
It’s already dark yet throughout day and night
You make me preoccupied in something wonderful
Easily carry me away to my so-called paradise
And together we’ll enjoy the dazzling sunny light.
Perfect as I may call the time I saw you there
You’re overly enchanting, always it shows
If you only knew what I feel for you
But I guess it’s impossible, I know to myself it is.
Sitting in my chair at class, I look at your back
Hardly one notices when I catch a side-glance
Your smile makes my heart melt, effortlessly captivates
Everything about you drives me insomniac.
It is raining that day when I went outside the gate
I hold on tightly to my pocket clutching a folded sheet
My heart beats so loud that I can hear my chest pound
It’s all because of you I learn how tricky is to love.
While looking at my reflection on the river’s serene water
I saw another figure beside me suddenly
It never occur to me that someone’s approaching
I turn my head to her direction while she inched closer.
Silence surrounded us in about a minute or two
Then in a shy tone, almost a whisper she said “hi”
She handed me a letter and turned away at once
With her back turned, I couldn’t help but stare adoringly.
Someday might be too far away from where I stand
But I’m willing to take the risk and grab the chance
If not today, it doesn’t matter for surely sparks will still fly
We share the same feelings, time will swiftly pass by.
