Just got home last night from college-tour-weekend with the entire Carroll family. Fun as always.

Villanova, PA was a disappointment, I must say. I was hoping that school would be a good safety, but I couldn't see myself living there for 4 years. Not at all. It felt too big (even though there are only 6,000 undergrads, and that is not large by anyone else's standards). Very nice campus, very nice college town, but I couldn't go there.

Got to see Olivia at Bryn Mawr after that. Lucky girl gets to live in a castle. It was good to see her after, perhaps, 2 or 3 years. I'm also going to see her in a couple of weeks, which is very exciting. She seemed very happy at school, which made me a)happy for her b)jealous and c)more depressed about Villanova's shortcomings and anxious to find a school that I could be so happy in.

2 hours further south, we saw Loyola, in Baltimore, MD. Awesome school. I loved almost everything about it. I could see myself there in a year, and still there in another 4, which was a relief after Villanova.

So I am down to 2 schools that I am going to apply to. I need to find another 4 or even 6 by December.
