Dear reader, in this chapter you’ll meet our hero. He is the heir to Jung Sung Ho & Jin Kyung business chain. Ah, is there anyone had been guessing it right? Yep, he is Jung Yong Hwa-ssi. His family is chaebol with so much wealth, power and connection beyond your imagination. But despite their status, fame and wealth his family owning, his family actually very different from any other type of chaebols family. They not spoiled and a total snob like the rest of their clique.
His family is warm, humble, very open minded and down to earth type of chaebol family. Their business chain spread from education, health, industry, fashion, technology to hotel and lastly mall area. Beside that, his family doesn’t doing an arranged marriage thingy. It pretty weird right? Because, normally they will arranged a marriage for their children. They believe that, they should married off their children to someone who has same status with them. The spouse for their children must be have a very good family background not some stranger with an alien family background. And of course like all of us known, the marriage spouse normally will be chosen from their parent close friend. Either the said close friend is his father business partner or her mother best friend from some socialite gathering.
His family believe that they had a right to choose and decide who’ll be their spouse. Of course they want have a spouse with good family background but they also think that their happiness is on the stake. So, his family never arranged a marriage for them. But, family member can do some “interview” [if you know what I mean, dear readers ;)] and they should giving out their opinion about the soon to be family member. This rules also applied to any problems that any family member had been faced.
Jung family always protective and caring about each other. They also always support their family member and very private about their personal life. That’s why, they become a magnet attention in their clique. Jung family member had been known not only for their great looks but also for their brain too. Because all of them have a high standard for their spouse, in physical and intelligent area, all of their child becoming most sought bachelor or bachelorette around Korea. Many people try to throw them self to their feet but Jung family just ignored them. All of Jung family member always know what they want in their life either that in business matter or for the partner for the rest of their life. RYonghwa wake up to his alarm phone when his alarm start to ringing loudly in small table beside his bed. His yawning loudly and tried to block the sound from his alarm by placing some pillow upon his head. After a while, the said alarm is in snooze mode and will be ringing for another 15 minute. He continue to sleep while rolling in his huge bed. He tried to find a comfortable position so he’ll be able to continue his sleep. When he finally start going to dreamland, his alarm going off and ringing loudly again. He tried to ignoring the loudly sound, but in the process he finally give up on it. He sit in the middle of the bed and start to rubbing his eyes to wash away the sleepiness from his system. Slowly after gain all of his consciousness, he began to stretch his body out and take several stride toward his bathroom. After closing the door gently, he start to peel off his clothes one by one and put them on his clothes bin. He hop in into shower cubicle and began to adjust the shower temperature to his liking. When he finally has a suitable temperature, he began his morning shower for today.
RIt took a good 45 minutes for him to finished his morning shower and get dressed. Then, he took another several minutes to tidy up his room, prepared and checked all of his necessities already in his bag. When he’s sure he everything is okay, he’s heading out of his room and take small breakfast that had been delivered to him from his mother. He finished the food in record time, since he’s really hungry, Then he cleaned the plate and arranged another food that had been arrived this morning with his breakfast into refrigerator, When anything he’s do had been done, he took final checked and head out from his apartment. For today, he doesn’t has a luxury to drive his car alone. Because there’s so much paper that he must checked and revised for today’s meeting. So he called up his omma before to send him a chauffeur from the main house to drove him around today. When he reached his apartment basement, he saw his chauffeur already in there with door handle in his hand.
“Good morning Moon Ahjussi” he greet his chauffeur in cheerful and bright way.
The Moon chauffeur just return his greet with a little chuckle. His doryeonim really a warm person, only if you lucky enough to be come his close acquaintance, and it seems like he’s in good mood today. Although after some thinking in his part, he rarely saw his doryeonim in bad mood. Well, except in some occasion when the situation really out of control. After closing the door, he goes to driver seat and start the engine.
Yonghwa, who’s already open up his paper in time his body enter the car, immediately raised his head when he heard the engine start to life. He made a little attempt to chat with Moon ahjussi until his car passed some coffee shop near his office.
“Ahjussi, would you mind to stop the car for a while?” Yonghwa asked.
“Deh?? Is there something wrong doryeonim?” Moon ahjussi clearly confused with his sudden act.
“Aniyo, Moon ahjussi. It just that I need buy some coffee, so my eyes wouldn’t start to closed” Yonghwa said.
“Ah, then I’ll be waiting doryeonim” replied Moon ahjussi.
When the car came to a full stop, Yonghwa jump out of his seat and said to his chauffeur, he wouldn’t long.
Fortunately in this hour, the coffee shop doesn’t has any costumer who’s lining up to order their favorite coffee. He ordered his favorite coffee to the barista and also he ordered some cakes and coffees for ahjussi too. After a while, the ordered he made already done. So he took the small bag and going out of the shop. He hop in into the back seat of his car and take a sip of his coffee. He also give Moon ahjussi the coffee and the caked that he bought. For another minute, he just sitting idly in his seat and remain focused to his paper while taking a small sip of his coffee.
“Doryeonim, we already in your office” Moon ahjussi looked at Yong hwa.
“Huh? It’s here already?” Yonghwa said.
The chauffeur just nodding his head while his doryeonim put his papers back to his bag.
“Thank you, Moon ahjussi. I’ll call you when we need to strolling around” Yonghwa exclaimed.
He closed the door and stride to enter his office building. He greet his employee here and there until he enter the lift that will brought him to his office space. When the lift indicated that he already arrived at his floor, he head straight to his office space and take a seat behind his desk. He took a deep breath to prepared himself for anything will be happen for today. After he feel he ready to face his work, so his daily activities begin to start.
RMinhyuk barged his way toward Yonghwa office, made the one and only occupant of the room annoyed with his act.
“Hyun, let’s eating lunch together. You know it’s time to lunch right? Minhyuk asked with his killer eyes smile on his handsome face. Yonghwa know if he persistent to continue his work, the brat in front of him will made a fuss about it. The last thing he want is, that his mother and Shinhye Noona heard about him who’s skipping a meal. If something like that happen, he absolutely sure the two women will team up and he wouldn’t hear the end from their long nagging.
“Fine, fine. Let’s eat, brat!” Yonghwa sighed while his hand do a multi tasking of cleaning up his table.
“Yah, hyung! I’m not a little kid who could be called brat!’ Minhyuk exclaimed and throw a tantrum to Yonghwa.
Yonghwa just smirked to his dongsaeng antics and decide to tease him a little.
“So, if you’re not a kid like you said. Why don’t you do some move toward Seo Yuri-ssi? A grown up man will gather his courage and approach his dream girl” Yonghwa dared him.
Minhyuk face is compilation of red shade. He tried to find smart word to retorted to his hyung. But to his luck, the said woman is crossing in front of face and take a notice of his presence.
“Annyeong Minhyuk-ssi, Yonghwa-ssi. Are you going to get lunch too?” Yuri said politely
Minhyuk just gaping at her and let His Yonghwa hyung give her a replied.
“Ah, yes. We will took some lunch too in down stairs. Are you want to come with us?” Yonghwa offered while he do his best to not laugh out loud to Minhyuk state. When Minhyuk register his Hyung offered in his chaotic brain, he try so hard to give his hyung his best glared. But Yonghwa just brushing off his glared and switch his attention to Yuri.
Fortunately, Yuri-ssi declined his offered politely. She said that she already take a lunch with the girls from her department. So, Yonghwa and Minhyuk bid their good bye to her and separated. After Yonghwa sure that Yuri-ssi is out of radar, He laughed his heart out. While Minhyuk just hide his face behind his palm. In his heart, he promised to take a good revenge toward his Hyung.
RIt already in the end of their office hour, but Yonghwa still busy reviewed today’s meeting result. A soft knock on his door office brought him back from his last thought. After giving his permission, his secretary entered the room and give him a reminder about his family gathering that night in Four Colors of Spring Hotel. He muttered his thanks to his secretary and begin to tidy up his table. Because today is Friday and also the last week on this month, his family have a habit to gather and catch up with each other life. He must get there on time if he doesn’t want get scold from his parent and get a lot of tease from his dear cousin. He always get tease from his cousins because his workaholic personality. He also always get scold from his mother because the same matter. He loves his family dearly and know that they just worried about his condition.
Sometimes, he’s very grateful to the day like this. When he has a time to meet with his cousins, uncles and aunts. It always lift his mood up when he think he’ll meet his cousins. Unfortunately, because their busy schedule they couldn’t meet as much as they want to.
After tidy up his desk and put all of things in his bag, he took a final glance around his room and head out from it. While his riding the lift to get him down from his office space floor, he dialed Moon ahjussi number and said that he need Moon ahjussi to drove him back to his apartment.
On the way to his apartment, one of his cousins give him call. She asked him to pick her up from her friend house. He agreed and tell her to wait for him. When he finally arrived to his apartment, he give his thanks to Moon ahjussi and bid him goodbye. He wish he’ll be safe until Moon ahjussi get to his home.
Took him a 45 minute to freshen up and get ready. He text his counsin about her friend house address. In a moment, he already arrived at her cousin friend doorstep. She notice his car and bid her friend goodbye. She said she’ll call her tomorrow. She hop in into his car and both of them dashed to Four Colors of Spring Hotel.
RYonghwa enjoyed his time chatting away with his cousins, uncles and aunts. He made sure to greet all of his Uncles and Aunts properly. He also greet his mother with a good kiss on her cheeks and tight hug. Although he’s already in 30, sometimes he like to act little spoiled to his mother. His antics bring a good laughter from his father and many snicker from his cousins. Looking at his only son antics, made her scold him to not gave her a daughter in law. She ordered him to get married soon as possible. As the result of her order, he just whined at her loudly. His mother gave up and just shaking her head. She hope he’ll get his match soon.
After a good dinner with some chats here and there, Jessica one of Yonghwa cousins, announce that she’ll throw a party to launch her new Spring/Summer Collection to the public. All of family member congratulate her and wish her hit a huge success. She said her thanks and said to all family member to anticipate her invitation. All of woman in the room clasp their hand and give a little squeal at this announcement. While the other side, all of men groaned lightly. Jessica just chuckled to herself when she sees all of family member reaction. She’s sure this party will be awesome and different.
RLater that night in Jessica and Krystal Jung residence, Jessica and Krystal still have a brainstorming about their up coming Spring/Summer collection. About 80% of the collection already done. And for the party plan she need to accomplish another 50% to made all of the plan complete. She began to write a list about anything she’ll need for party preparation. She already has an idea about the theme of the party, where the party will be held and etc. She discuss her idea with her sister, Krystal. And she’s agreed with the theme of the party. Jessica divide the task with Krystal, so they will complete the plan much faster. When Jessica writing all the necessities down, she laugh the herself quietly. Made the young sister knitted her brow to Jessica behavior. Jessica realized Krystal stare and just give out her sweetest smile to Krystal while she messed Krystal hair. The gestured made Krystal shrieked in horror and try to attacked her sister with throwing out her pillow. Jessica just dodge it and continue to laugh out loud.
