I think Spitfire still lives. And I’m not just saying that because I’m a lovelorn fantard. I’m being serious because when they were being developed in the first season it had a completely different feel than the other pairings. It felt like they wanted to build this relationship to last for a number of reasons, but one of the most important reasons being Kent Nelson. He and his love were spoken in terms of eternity. That’s the beauty of eternity. It’s eternal. Because that love story is fucking beautiful. Kent Nelson called his love his spitfire and wanted Wally to find his own little spitfire…and implied that it should be Artemis. I don’t care if your opinion changes about me or you think I’m a dumb fangirl (feel free to unfollow me), but I feel like this simple fact speaks volumes…and I want to believe that this pairing is untouchable.
