Hey all... Bloody hell, I am so tired tonight and I really shouldn't be. I got lots of sleep last night, even though I got home late and it took a while to wind down. I had a Mary Kay pyjama party/seminar last night. It was a lot of fun. Almost everyone was in their pj's... Some of them were so hilarious... We had a buffet dinner and some speakers, including the top seller in Canada this year, Sandie Campbell... Her unit sold over a million dollars this year... Pretty freakin' cool... And Sandie herself sold $46,000 in June alone.... I hope that I can do even a fraction as well as she has. She even has the pink Cadillac... So sweet...
This afternoon I broached the subject of getting a bank loan for myself with my mom. It didn't go very well with just her. She always jumps off without thinking and then won't listen to me any more... Thankfully she went outside and talked with my dad, then I went out, too, and together dad and I were able to make her more agreeable. It's not as though I'm looking for a ridiculous amount of money, anyway... I just need enough to get a good amount of inventory to start off with. Probably no more than $3000. Dad doesn't think it would be a big deal; he's supporting me, as usual... That's one reason I'm glad that my dad and I really get along most of the time... He generally goes my way on something. He and I both think things over first, whereas my mom and sister talk/yell first and think later. But it means that dad and I can think up good arguments in our favour... Anyway, I'm relieved that we managed to sway mom. She's going to phone her financial person at the bank on Tuesday, and see what we can do... I don't see why the bank wouldn't let me have some money... My parents have their mortgage, credit cards, and loans there, and we have a *lot* of property that's worth a *lot* of money... So they wouldn't have to worry about getting their money back... And besides, even if I decided to quit Mary Kay sometime, and had a bunch of inventory left, the company has a 90% buy-back guarantee... So I would only have to come up with the remaining 10% to pay off the loan. It's really not as big a deal as my mom first thought... Anyway, I think this post is long enough... Later all...
