I'm glad you listened to it while traveling, too -- and you hit the part about loss on the nose. I was in L.A. when I read about Dr. Tiller and thought about you immediately. I wonder what it is about experiencing stories and news away from home that everything about them seems to intensify.
I never like to comment on your journal entries because they read like prose that's meant to stand alone (and they effectively do so), but I absolutely have to ask you a question that's mostly beside the point of what your post was trying to say.
I've started listening to and looking for podcasts lately, and I see you listen to some, and could you please offer me suggestions for podcasts to listen to?
You know, this is going to sound silly, but for a day or two I thought about researching lists of popular or interesting blogs for the both of us, since I am still limited to the 'All Things Considered' archives and haven't branched out much beyond that. I tried the Storycorps podcast and was disappointed on the brevity, it seemed like at least half of it was advertising. The only other podcast I've listened to has been a gaming podcast at Bryan's house -- it might still be called "1up" or something else now that they've been bought out. 1up occasionally sounds like a bunch of nerdy guys in their late 20s but sometimes gets into really interesting discussions about the culture and communities created by video games and virtual worlds. I don't play video games now and I didn't even think I'd be interested in the issues they bring up, but they do a good job of challenging each other and they're all well spoken individuals

Thank you. I was in your city at 3 in the morning, wherever the Greyhound station is, it seemed right downtown in the middle of things. It was easy to wake up, and I liked the lights more than I thought I would.
