I went to a painting class tonight, which was full of "interesting" people. Now if only they'd offer those as private lessons with no people. ^^;
It was for oil painting. I think I like it.
I like to paint, but I've only ever used the acrylics, because they're cheap, I really don't fancy acrylics however, because they dry so fast that you've got a very short period of time to work in. Mistakes just become crazy thick, nasty looking blobs on the paper. I have some watercolours, but I haven't really done much with them because I'm not really a fan of the way they look. That, and they're a bit intimidating, because they behave...I don't know, wierd.
But oils moved nicely, stayed nice and wet and blended so easily!! It was just a tiny little butterfly, so I dunno if maybe I'm just ammused by the immediate results I got this time, so I'll take a few more classes as they come up before I go investing in more supplies and not using them.
Speaking of which, Weasel, are you still interested in taking that Ocelot painting class? It's coming up fairly soon, if I recall correctly. I'll have to double-check.
Anything else new? ....don't think so. Damn, I'm boring.
