Published m/m

I'm getting into published m/m again. Normally I have really bad luck and I'm really stingy with money sometimes so it makes buying books hard (I get really picky because of the price or content). Anyway, I recently read The Archer's Heart by Astrid Amara after a rec on the slash pile... I loved it. Which is really shocking since I went in thinking I was gonna hate it (since I'm so picky). But after the first book I was already impatient to read the second, and I still thought... I won't like it, something will put me off (and something almost did let me tell you!) but then when the second ended I just had to buy the third. And now I'm scouring for more m/m reads hoping for the same luck.

I've accumulated a list (all most rec'd on TSP) that I'm going to try out. So if anyone on my flist has read these don't hesitate to tell me if you hated/liked/loved it! or, anything, really. I'm open to spoilers too (already spoiled myself for two on the list):

Witch Eyes by Scott Tracey
The Chosen (and its sequels if I like it) by Ricardo Pinto
The Gladiator's Master by Fae Sutherland
A Companion to Wolves by Elizabeth Bear and Sarah Monette
The Winter Prince by Elizabeth E. Wein
Learning to Dharn by Ann Somerville
Melusine by Sarah Monette

Witch Eyes will likely be first since I've been holding off for months to buy it and was already planning to. The Winter Prince and The Chosen I can only buy as a used paperback because Amazon and Barnes and Noble don't sell it as new (or as ebooks) :/ so if I do buy them it'll be awhile, but I've already read pretty far into The Chosen on googlebooks preview and so far I like it. The Winter Prince I mainly only wanna read because of the incest (it's not actually slash but there's heavy subtext, I hear).

Learning to Dharn is again something I've been meaning to buy for awhile now. I read the preview forever ago. There's another book by the author I was going to buy, too, The Surrogate; I'd read it when it was offered for free though never finished it.

A Companion to Wolves I'm hesitant to buy because the start is very slow (it didn't grip me in its preview but it seems rather popular).

The Gladiator's Master I'm mostly wanting to read because it's different than what you think with the whole master/slave thing.

Melusine is a big maybe. My library carries it so if I decide on that it'll likely just be borrowed (after I pay my outrageous fee finally...)

If anyone wants to add to my list, feel free to do so :) It's hard finding m/m books, especially since I'm picky. I prefer less sex, more plot. Romance is nice, but not needed.
