AU: Death's barrens
This alternative universe, is extremely similar to the Fallout series. It's a time where y2k actually happened. All the nukes went off, spreading radiation throughout the world. Only plaes small enough, or big enough, has survivors, who grew, although isolated from the rest of the world. Some places like China, and Russia, survived, but refuse to help anyone, due to, "We are not going to risk the lives of our men, just for rumors.". Both parties say this, although rarely stand together. They are constantly fighting for land, resources, or samples.
Many of the inhabitants grew in different ways. Each with different powers and weaknesses. Each with various locations, and general personality's. Each has a tribe name, and mostly stick together. These stories, however will reside in the U.S.A.
Basics:
Sea-barrens: Are a race, that live near Salt lake city, Utah. They have both gills and lungs, with the ability to travel to the bottom of the ocean, with only a migraine, or a broken bone. There physical structure, is simular to the Mortal Kombat character, Barraka. The have those sets of barracuda teeth, and boney structures. Although they don't have those Barraka"s hand blades, they do hace spikes coming out of there shoulders, and heels. They primarily eat kelp, and other simular products, and are mostly pacifists. However, if threatened, they will defend there homes no matter what.
Parict- An aviation style humanoid. They are known to reside in areas like the Rockey mountains. They are a technologically advanced race, with the intelligence to work it. There intelligence ranges from 75 - 1000. With 300 is average. They have adapted around flying, and diving. They are simular to hawkgirls, and hawkmens costume, without the actual person. There race tends to be split with ages. Children tend to be the "Go to the flow type person", the adults, are disciplined, and wizened. Their diets constist of berries, to fish, to small scavenging animals, like squirrels or rabbits.
Hael-mach: A race of android like people which reside around Washington DC. They have the same personalities, hard working, logical, but completely sarcastic. Each unit is equipped with solar panels, around the back, faceplate, and head. They do not need any other substance to live. The Hael-machs, do not possess the knowledge to make more of them.There culture is based around, the 1990 human society.
Each unit has a primary function, and two secondary, in case of a unit with a malfunction.
Humans: Simply normal humans, living among the other races as outcasts, slaves, expendable resources, or scientists. They also live around other Humans in China or Russia, and live in small colonies spread across the world. Now most Huamn personalities are based on tribalism, dictatorship and monarchy, altough rare. Humans have mutated into other mutants, with less then dramatic appearances then the other races. Each ability subtracts on the other. Strength subtracts from intelligence, while Constitution is influenced by wisdom, and visa versa.
Liop: The liop are a race that mutated with scavenger animals. Personalities vary the most with them. Bunnies tend to be pick up artists, while rats tend to be shady con artists. They usually trick something else to fight for them, because they have little muscle. Most of the animals, are extremely intelligent.
Ravenous: They are humans who mutated with tigers, bears, dogs, alligators, and other feral animals. They have overly aggressive nature, and tend to be hostile, for no reason. Most have bear claws, wolf teeth, agility of a panther or cheetah, and a growl of a lion or powerful mutant dog, with rabies.
There are others mutants, but these are the ones that I can think of the most. I'm not sure how my characters fit in this, so i'll leave it at that.
