A Lucky Break
I've spent so much time on myspace, that I've neglected livejournal as of late...
*smirk*
Ok, well I neglect this journal anyway not because I want to, it's just I lack the means, or I don't have the time.
The meritourious promotion to Corporal probably went to someone else.
I was up for it, but I've heard nothing in the past two weeks
Not to say it still won't happen, but so much time has passed...
I'm just honored that they even picked me to be one of the nominees.
It doesn't matter anyway
Don't think I was ready to accept the responsibilty of a squad leader, and have a few Marines under me
By the time Christmas is over and the New Year is here, I believe I wil be fully ready to accept the responsibilties.
My leave papers were the only ones approved out of fifteen other people a few days ago
I had to tell a lil white lie, and tell command that my Da was probably leavin for Iraq after just coming back from Aruba
The Iraq part is not true, though hell with the way things are now, it bloody well may be a truth.
They allowed me to leave till the 23th of this month
I'm home for a week.
As always it's good returning home.
The humidity the only thing I didn't miss compared to Calli's dry heat
My brother is home as well
It's been about five months since I've seen him
I have missed him very much
I'll try to put new pics of him and me on myspace
He's 32, but the drugs, and the drinking have aged him twelve years more.
He's on the run from the law on not answering to his parole officer on his DUI charges.
We've given him sanctuary until the 7th of September
Then we'll try to get him a ticket to the Virgin Islands
He'll be able to live there, have a job, get a en francais passport, and not have to worry.
I can only wish that his drinking days are over, and he can start on a clean slate once more.
For once in a long time, My Pop and his two sons are home at the same time
We'll be goin to the Braves game tomorrow
If I can stop runnin around frantically tryin to see everyone like I usually do, I'll help Da with the house as well
Also I'll try to visit Tiff over at W. GA and see the campus for myself, though I can't promise anything
