Summary: Yoochun thought about the whole issue in his mind
Yoochun thought about the whole issue in his mind, why would that killer be afraid of the forest if he killed people inside of it? The only sense in it was that it wasn't the killer who was afraid of the forest, but the other one… the one that brought the people to kill yunho, maybe
Yoochun looked down at the picture he was holding still, he looked up at junsu and spoke quickly:' I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere'
Junsu nodded his head softly, pouting still, as he watched yoochun still holding on the picture rush out of the room and downstairs
Ignoring the squeaking stairs yoochun looked around for yunho, he found him in the kitchen on his knees begging an angry jaejoong who wouldn't even face him
In any normal situation yoochun would tsk at yunho and point out how lame this is and how he should be a man and force his lover to listen to him not just go on his knees and beg for forgiveness. But, this was no normal situation and he was really in a hurry
'Who is this?' yoochun literally shoved the picture into yunho's face asking him, not caring about the disagreeing jaejoong, hating that yoochun interrupted him torturing his lover
Yunho looked at the picture and frowned:' its Kim Youngwoon shi, Kibum's father… why?'
He thought so, kibum's father was the one who gave the doll to junsu after all, he knew junsu existed so he probably knew his master too; he left gifts and food for him all the time behind the mill… why? What did he have to do with junsu?
'YAH! WHO SAID YOU COULD STOP BEGGING?' jaejoong yelled at yunho, frustrated
Yoochun blinked, he left the couple to themselves and went to look for someone else, kibum
He found kibum in his bedroom sitting with changmin; changmin was reading him a book, children's tale…it looked the kind of book junsu might like
'I need to talk to kibum' yoochun spoke at once
Changmin frowned about to object but yoochun waved him off and looked at kibum shoeing him his father's picture
'Its dad…' kibum shivered softly eyeing the picture, reaching out trying to hold it, to look at it…wanting anything to remind him of his dad
'I need you to tell me something else… do you remember where we went the other day?'
Kibum nodded
'Do you remember whom you and your dad used to leave all the things for? I mean, have you ever see anyone there, anyone at all?'
Kibum shook his head and pouted a little:' daddy used to leave a lot of baby things there too… I never asked…' he looked and sounded so frustrated that he almost cried
'It's alright… listen to me, relax and try to think… does the name junsu mean anything to you?'
Kibum shook his head
'How about master?'
Kibum shook his head again
'How about Ree shi or Lee shi?'
Kibum frowned… this time he didn't shake his head but looked at yoochun as if eyeing him through a fog or something, like if he couldn’t see him clearly
'I… I woke up to get a cup of water…it was night and I hated dark… daddy used to leave the door open so I won't be scared…' kibum whispered softly and both men looked at him carefully, listening to every word ' daddy was talking to mom…he had took me there that day too and we left there lots of gifts…he was telling her how he'll go there himself and make sure how things are going… I'll check on them, he said…'
Yoochun frowned, so kibum's dad did know all about junsu and his master, he even knew where they were so he went to check on them himself
'Mom was…I… I think she was crying' kibum looked up and frowned ' I didn't know that back then, but now… I think she was sniffing softly and crying… she said she will protect her family…the blood link…'
'Blood link?' yoochun frowned ' family?'
Changmin blinked himself
'Kibum, do you remember if your mother had any family… sisters, brothers or something?'
'No one… she had only daddy and me… that's what she always said' kibum pouted, a tiny bit of possessiveness in his tone as he spoke this
Yoochun nodded:' I see… did your dad take you back there after what you heard?'
Junsu shook his head:' that was a week before…' and he went quiet… yoochun understood why
Kibum's dad went into the forest to check on junsu and his master but never came back alive, his wife must of have went after him to see why he's taking so long, but she was killed too… that was the scenario in yoochun's mind as he almost flew back upstairs and into his room
Lucky him he found junsu still writing down his letters, he was pretty good at this
'Junsu…' yoochun walked to him ' did anyone ever come to visit you and master?'
Junsu nodded his head:' before… uncle came to visit us…he gave junsu Lee shi and told him never to forget his name… Lee shi…'
Junsu pouted cutely remembering that and tapping his finger on his pouted lips softly
Yoochun held himself back, no it's time to work not to strip the boy, he kept thinking to himself. Yoochun sat down and began reading the scroll from the first line… whoever wrote this knew so many secrets about the village, beginning from the first one ever… one that even yoochun himself didn't know about, as he read yoochun became to think that more than one person wrote on this scroll, there were different types of handwriting on it…
Yoochun read:
And it's not known to anyone but to those who're really close to him that master had done a very bad thing… worst than bullying the farmers and taking their money, worst than anything he did before… it was on a cold winter night when we heard the hushed yells and muffled screams from his bedroom… we got worried so we went to check and it was too late… we couldn't save her already, master had had his way with her before we reached and she couldn't stop him, young and vulnerable as she was she couldn't possibly stop him, she lay there weak and broke, her soul had shattered into pieces from what he did to her, and he stood tall in front of her, careless and heartless
'Take her away' he told us, as coldly as if waving a beggar away and we did, unable to do but obey his orders because he was master, we took the poor girl out of the village and I made sure she found a home…
Master never bothered to ask about her anymore, everyone in the village spoke ill of her, calling her a whore when the poor thing could do nothing about it… she was helpless…but I didn't leave her like that, I kept sending her money every time I could, I even stole master's family symbol and gave it to her, for the kid in her stomach, for his baby, the one he never knew of
Master died a few weeks after, they said it was of natural causes but we close to him knew better… we knew he was poisoned… the farmers who grew tired of him poisoned his water that he died… and then they took his land and split it themselves… I was a part of it too… I worked in his house more than anyone else… I was given his house and the ranch… the old horse ranch … the farmers split what was left between themselves
Yoochun frowned, the one who wrote this seemed to have lived in the time the old man was killed, he seemed to have worked for him… the color of the paper and the ink used, the formal style and everything indicated that it was real. Still, farther tests on the paper could be done in the lap to make sure it is real… for now yoochun kept on reading
The third line which he was just about to read seemed to have been written by someone else, the handwriting was different for sure
Yoochun read:
Dad was dying when he told me about this scroll. He told me to write down the darkest secret I know on it and hide it for the next generation to find out, so the crimes we do won't go unpunished and out kids won't have to pay for it themselves… we will pay for our crimes even if from out graves…
Something weird had happened lately, the calm village isn't as calm anymore…the ranch isn't as calm anymore…a man had came… a man who should the farmers the family symbol of some old man… I don't know exactly who it was but the elders say he was an evil man who owned the lands; he died without any kids so they took the lands they worked in so hard…the man wanted his lands and money back apparently… he never said so, but everyone thinks so, they say he came to take our lands from us so they're going to stop him
A year ago it started when it was a full moon; I was riding my favorite horse and watching the sky when I saw them, five young villagers, they sneaked into the forest, he was staying in the forest… the villagers had refused to allow him in the village so he stayed in the forest till everything is cleared and settled
I knew they went to do something bad, but I didn't stop them… they went and came out with blood dripping from their hands… their families treated them like heroes, they treated the man like a dead animal or so, they burnt him to ashes on the bamboo tries… some says he was still alive when they did so… if so, he must have suffered so badly before dying
I couldn't leave things as they are… they had killed him! They killed a man but no one seemed to care about it… I went out of the village on my horse to look for it, I looked to see where he came from and if he had any family… he had left a son behind… a young boy who was just five years old, so innocent and pretty, his mother died giving birth to him and his father murdered brutally for no reason at all… I couldn't leave him behind so I took him in; I told everyone he's my son and raised him since
Now, a year after I look at him, Lee… no, Jung yunho, A bright and happy young boy who knows nothing about the past, I don't know if it's right, but I've decided to take the secret with me to the grave… the only reason I'm writing it down on this scroll of secrets is because my father made me promise to do it…
Yoochun widened his eyed; this only proved yunho is the descended from the man who was killed. His baby son was named Jung yunho. No, it was Lee yunho… the man who took him in changed it to Jung, but it was Lee before… Lee, just like lee shi…
