Junsu closed his eyes, when he opened them they were at the gates of a familiar place; the academy was standing tall in front of them. Even in the dark it looked so big and intimidating
'This way' Kyuhyun whispered and led the way. To their shock he led them away from the gate and to the wall, standing in front of it where a long tree was
Reaching out to the tree's branches Kyuhyun pulled out a rope ladder which looked somehow old
'I used this when I was still a student' he whispered and climbed it up, the rest following him
As they claimed the ladder up the wall the wall seemed to grow taller and taller, it didn't seem possible to reach the end of it
'Now' Kyuhyun stopped climbing and looked at them ' just jump down after me, trust me on it' he whispered and jumped. As they all expected him to hit the wall and yell in pain they were shocked to see that he went through the wall and vanished
Yoochun, who was behind him, gulped and followed him, the rest did too. They all seemed to land on the floor rather gently considering the height they fell from. As they all stood up Kyuhyun explained:' the walls are charmed to look higher as you climb it but it's only an illusion, you must remember the right height and jump after it'
'Now what?' yunho whispered ' where do we find changmin?'
'He's there' jaejoong pointed and everyone looked at him
'Are you sure baby?' yunho asked
'Yes' junsu answered and they blinked, turned to look where jaejoong pointed and understood what he meant at once. There he was, changmin, standing in front of them, arms crossed and eyebrow cracked, looking at them rather amused
'Took you long enough' he hissed ' I thought you wouldn't come'
'You knew we'll come?' yoochun blinked
'Well, I hoped you won't, obviously. But, again I knew you would torture bummie till he tells you where I was, so… yes, I knew you would come'
Yunho rolled his eyes at him:' you could have told us from the beginning and saved us the trouble of sneaking here, you know'
'I wanted to make sure of things, I didn't want to attack and be wrong. The headmaster of the magic academy is a very important person you know, we need to make sure before we announce him evil, and we can't just show up on his doorsteps and ask him if he was in with the Great Saga on this'
'Whatever, what did you find out?'
'The Great Saga left the place a while ago; they spent a long time talking as my source told me. A lot more kids lost their magic here, but the thing went unreported. Donghae had been leaving the school a lot lately, as well, I don't know whether if it's because he's with the Great Saga in this or if he had another reason, up till now he did nothing out of the ordinary, but not repeating the new accidents'
'I see' Kyuhyun frowned
'So, let's go in and torture him till he tells us where he was going all this time' yoochun frowned
'I think it's better if we just spied on him secretly and used less violent on high class people' changmin pointed out ' and that's why I came here alone without telling you all'
'Well, too late. We're already here and we want some action' yunho hissed, wanting to put all this training he had been doing today into action
'We can't' be irrational, we must be sure before we attack' jaejoong pointed out, much to yunho's displeasure
'Thank you'
'But… now what?' junsu whispered, jaejoong did feel they had to be here anyway, something must have made him feel this, and this can't be it, right?
'Now you all die!'
The voice startled them; they all turned to look behind them. They all came face to face with the Great Saga, his wooden cane in his hand and a very nasty smirk on his face, a smirk that said things were going exactly as he wanted
'I'll wipe this smirk off your face once and for all!' Kyuhyun hissed, his curse already ready to be fired
'Try, little ex-prince' he smirked, as if Kyuhyun was nothing to him, making Kyuhyun boil even more ' I was born way before you, I know magic way more than you do. Even all this gods' thing, I know way more than you do… you can't compare to me'
'I'll show you…' Kyuhyun fired his spell which missed the Great Saga as he waved it away from him with a little move, indicating it was nothing to be worried about
That was the trigger, everyone began battling. Yoochun, yunho, changmin, Kyuhyun, jaejoong and even junsu against the Great Saga
'The gods can't even control all their powers, what a shame' he smirked at them
'DIE DAMN IT!!!'
Spells were hitting everywhere near them, everyone was too busy fighting or avoiding being hit with a spell that they didn't notice anything of what was going on around them
They didn’t notice as enchanted fires lit the place around them. They didn’t' notice as gods rushed to circled them, all too afraid to come closer. They didn't notice as donghae rushed out of the academy to them. They didn't notice or hear what he ordered one soldier; they were too busy for anything else
'WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??' donghae yelled, but no one answered him, instead he jumped sideways avoiding a curse which was deflected his way
'YOUR HIGHNESS, CHANGMIN SHI, YOUR HOLINESS' donghae tried time after time, but no one answered him
A loud crack which went unheard by the battle noise and a person appeared; he looked so worried that it seemed he aged a thousand years in a day
'STOP IT!!' he roared and his voice went so loud it made them all freeze and look at him
'Your majesty, I have no idea what's going on here. I don't even know how they entered the grounds' donghae bowed down at once
'Kyuhyun, changmin that's enough'
'Never' Kyuhyun hissed, challenge in his voice as he fired another spell at the Great Saga
This time, the Great Saga didn't have to deflect the spell; the king did it for him. Kyuhyun stood there shocked, he held himself back, however, and spoke:' I never expected you to defend a lowlife like him!!'
'Enough!!'
'He's a criminal!!!'
'I SAID…!'
'NO! HE'S MORE PRECIOUS TO YOU THAN YOUR ONE AND ONLY SON, I GET IT!! BUT IS HE MORE PRECIOUS TO YOU THAN YOUR KINGDOM?'
No one spoke; everyone was eyeing Kyuhyun and the king, as for the second time in twenty four hours, they stood face to face
'Kyuhyun you don't understand, he got no reason to use darkness, what for, the crown, the power? You don’t know him, you can't judge him!'
'I don't know you either' Kyuhyun hissed ' I mourned my father all day, now I'm ready to kill the bastard who took him from me'
Firing another spell at the Great Saga which was deflected by the king Kyuhyun had enough, he wasn't going to stand there and watch as his father, former father, defended his enemy from him
'Move aside' he hissed and his eyes looked so anger filled you couldn't see any of the old Kyuhyun in them
The king didn't move
'I wish not kill the king. But, if you won't move then you're responsible for your own death'
No one believed it, but it happened. Kyuhyun fired a killing curse at his father, at the king, which was only deflected as a soldier jumped in front of the king taking the curse for him, instead of him. The king stood shocked, unbelieving that his son just tried to kiss him, as the dead soldier dropped on the floor it was like a spell being broke. Suddenly, they could hear the whispers, the yells and the shocked cried of the guards around them
'Kyuhyun…you…you…'
'I did warn you'
'Your highness you just tried to kill his majesty, what happened to you?' donghae looked so shocked
'I never felt better before!' Kyuhyun smirked ' I won't miss the next time; no one will jump to take the curse for you!'
No one moved, no one dared say anything as they eyed Kyuhyun, he seemed crazy to them all, something was strange about him, something wasn't right
'I think you shouldn't attack the king, your highness' changmin tried but the angry Kyuhyun sent him flying sideways before he went back to eye the king, rage in his eyes
'CHUNIE LOOK!!' junsu yelled suddenly and pointed, not at the Great Saga, not at the king, and not around them, he pointed at Kyuhyun himself, a shocked look on his face
'What is this?' yoochun looked, noticing something twinkling under the reflected light on the enchanted fires around them, it was so thin and small they didn't notice it before, they wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for junsu who was standing right behind Kyuhyun
'What is this?' yunho repeated, he too was eyeing the thing
'It looks like…' jaejoong began, not sure himself…
