Either way, he's actually pretty on top of picking things out. Even inspecting the vegetables and fruits and meat for quality]

[Meanwhile Eyes is inspecting the various foods; he'd sometimes watched food be prepared, but beyond that he has little recollection of ever going near a stove. It doesn't take long for him to notice Rin doing his own shopping; truth be told he's been watching others do the same in order to learn how this is done, so his attention is sharp and focused as he studies him.

... For outright asking for help would be humiliating.]

[Okay so peppers - you want them fresher, which means more firm. He feels them gently before taking the ones who feel the most tight and solid. In they go to the bag, tie up. There. And for apples - looking for blemishes and such. Meat, well, he'll be examining that more carefully]

[... Did he even eat anything with peppers? Admittedly, fruit would make for a quick and simple meal without having to put in too much effort.

Sliding closer to the fruit stand and Rin, his attention is strictly on the manner in which he selects which he would take. Though honestly, something to eat would be better than nothing.]

... What else would you put in a sandwich? [Aside from sticking on some type of meat, which seemed to be the staple of every one.]

Lettuce, mayonnaise, tomato, cheese?
