You want us to rebuild, and to repopulate, not to peer into the secrets of this world. But it is inevitable. One cannot be done without the other.

You choose to sit around. There are more practical problems to deal with. Survival comes first. Everyone wants to find the answers because the frustration from not knowing makes them feel as if they can do nothing else. You make the same assumption.

Would that I took everyone who wanted to assist me, it'd be at least a dozen people. And everyone assumes I'm working alone.

I'm working with close to 10 people already. You have more immediate issues to attend to.

There's got to be something that comes after just surviving! We've got meat, and water, and supplies. But you're right, we do need answers.
