Three different issues to deal with now. However, we at least have the boon of Dr. Tam's return ( Read more... )

Nothing but time here, Mr. Smith. Nothing but time. However, I'm a little curious myself. About how you know of Persona. My guess would be Ryoji running his mouth about them, but then that begs the question of why you're looking for me.

[with any luck, it'll be something constructive that i can work with..]

In any case, what can I do, Mr. Smith, by all means ask away.

It was Ryoji, yes. I'm also quite aware of his other side.

As for the why, it's simple. I possess a similar ability.

The Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon.

Really... sounds complicated, but if its anything like my ability I guess I already understand. So.. how does yours work and why did you want to talk to me about it? Don't you know how to control it?

Actually, If you have that ability.. can you use it here??

I want to compare methods, to put it one way.

I'll give you essential difference between your ability and my own.

You summon Persona. I become them.

You.. become them? In the way that a man becomes, say, a werewolf? That sounds intimidating, to say the least, but in a way more efficient in that you have more control. Unless of course you mean that you become another being entirely?

I don't doubt my Persona. I command them and they obey, but you can never be certain whether or not they will fail to land an attack. I may not become them, but they are a part of me. Especially my Orpheus..

[strange.. this must be what chidori felt like.. to want to see your persona so badly. as if you miss them..]

I become something else entirely. Gender, Personality, Life history, everything changes.

Orpheus, son of Calliope, with a song that could bring the worst of beasts to their knees.

Another figure of Greek myth. Like Thanatos.

Yes, a lot of Persona are tied into mythical figures and creatures. Gods, devils, angels. Orpheus.. he's a little difficult to describe. But I feel, other than resembling me, everything about him is music. He carries a harp and does use it in battle.

You never answered my question, Mr. Smith, about this happening to you here in Discedo. Do you ever remember what they did when you gave way to them, and do you know if it is to hurt or help?

The chip was originally in the neck, but has moved since then. When I removed it, there was a period of initial sickness, the first day. Vomitting is rather standard.

After that, abilities either short out, unusable, or go berserk, uncontrollable. My persona would shift without my ever requesting them.

I need to find a way to do this. I need to find a way to get this thing out of me. But once I do, I guess I should be alone so I don't hurt anyone..

When you could control it, before this place.. what about then? Was there any way to induce it where you came from? In my case, Persona are summoned by stress, pushed to its maximum by what we call an evoker.

ooc: sorry for reposting, part of my post got deleted.

To summarize the Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon. Those who possess the ability either find someone dead, or kill them. If they're compatible, they're absorbed inside, where I can become them, later, simply by willing it. I am, in essence, rebirthing them after death.

I can still control it here, as I had my chip removed quite awhile ago. Yours would be in the new location, which we haven't found yet.

So there were there other people like you? How many have you absorbed into yourself?

What is it you hope to gain by talking to me about this? I'm not sure what you can do with this information, Mr. Smith.

Six people.

I hope to gain a greater understanding into the Scientist's methods.

Consider. There is myself, who has been here for nearly a year now. I have the Multifoliate Personae Phenomenon.

Similar in this regard, Ryoji arrived, who can become Thanatos.

Then, you, who can summon several Persona.

And there's this man, Shinji. I assume he has similar abilities.

There appears to be a pattern, Mr. Arisato. I need to follow evidence. Especially the ones that aren't obvious at first.

I seem to only be able to harbour six at a time also.. It seems to be more similar than I thought.

Look.. Shinjiro-Senpai is not too pleased about the idea of people knowing what he can do and "humbly requests" that he is left out of anything. If it were up to him the guy would probably give his soul just to get rid of his abilities. And now he'll never have to, with that chip in him.

But since you know about it, he does have one, and it is a little odd that we came in so close in time.. What do you make of all this so far? And what can we do with it?
