With all of the hustle and bustle of working and making time for family and friends this break, I've almost forgotten about what the end of this break means. I can no longer call 202 Apple Drive my home. By the time I get a break from school, my family will have moved to their new home across the street from the 2 mile mark on the Sloppy 5 route (I don't know the exact address, but I will always remember that running route). It also marks the last significant length of time that I can say I live in Peoria. From here out it's 3 years of moving back and forth from Champaign to Chicagoland, and after that who know?. If I'm really lucky I might be able to find a job at the new proton accelerator on the border of France and Switzerland. But that's just a distant thought... there's no telling where I'll be then. Either way, as of now I don't ever see myself returning to Peoria on a permanent basis.
So farewell, Peoria. I can't say I'll miss much of the actual area, but the memories made in those areas are priceless. I am also giving an open invitation for anyone who reads this and actually cares to join me up in Chicago this summer. I will be lonely in my one bedroom apartment and making friends as good as the ones I have now will be next to impossible.
Now it is much too late for me to be typing on livejournal. I have to enjoy my last 3 nights in the bedroom I've called my own for the last 12 1/2 years.
