Appearance: Grell is, and might be, one of the most feminine men you will ever meet in your lives. He stands as a good 5'11 with a very feminine body of a light pale skin tone. His face has it's feminine features as well, with his eyes are deep olive green that goes along a pair of red framed glasses, connected by a silver chain of skull beads, so he can hang them around his neck if needed to, but mostly just stay on his pretty face. Other face features is his sharp teeth, with almost look like they belong to a shark, proof that he is far from anything human. Long red hair that flows down past his lower back, sometimes he ties it up with a ribbon. His most signature clothing article on his body: a long, ruby red coat with black trimming and buttons, along with a silk black bow tied in the back. This was a gift from a "close friend", or what he says if you asked him where he got it. Under that coat is a butler-like attire, which is basically clean, fancy, but in his terms, keeping it stylish as well. A white collar up, ruffled shirt, with two black bands on each arm, that is wore a black pinstripe vest and the collar of the shirt is tied up with a red/white striped bow. His appearance is finished off with a pair of black dress pants, with two gold chains that lead to his right pocket, containing his gold pocket watch, and red Victorian boots with high heels that. As for his chainsaw, he will mostly be found carrying it in his hand when he needs to use it.
Personality: Flamboyant, cheerful, but quite a flirtatious sadist who isn't afraid to get his gloves dirty, Grell is quite an unique butler. He's a dramatic man who refers to himself as a female with very feminine pronouns and words, treating himself like a lady by getting women clothing, make up, jewelry, and the things that are girl's best friends. Nobody knows why he acts like this, either it was a gene of his unknown parents or family, or might be of the appearance he grew up with, as he even had such a girlish appearance when younger. His sanity is at a delicate, shaking grasp, as his moods can switch from a childish, spoiled irritation to murderous rage in just a heartbeat. As pretty as he looks to some, don't you dare try to screw that up with messing up his appearance. Even though he has a habit of rule breaking for the fun of it, he does have great servitude, but he only gives it if you earn it.
The butler of blood red is very social, always talking and spreading gossip to those that gained his interests or who are important enough, maybe add flirt to his tone to mess with them. Regardless of gender, he flirts with everyone in some odd way, no matter who it is, except for the captain and higher ranking people on the ship. When angry, he can get pretty insane with realistic, morbid threats with his chainsaw, as he is not afraid to slice and dice someone up and feed parts to a sky shark. Grell does have a small joy with children, always dreaming to bear one for his own, despite gender difficulties. Other things that he enjoys is the theater arts, a lover to read plays and poetry on the side. Also, it's pretty obvious that his favorite color is red, but to him, it's no ordinary color. Ordinary, plain women are not fit to wear the color. Only two people can pull that color off without overdoing it: himself and Angelina Durless. A women that he saw her true colors on one dark night and then, fate turned him to work for her as her butler.
He and Angelina are about two peas and a pod: Both not having the ability to bear children, since Angelina lost her womb in an accident, both can pull off the color red successfully without over doing it, and both with a similar revenge towards what they believe in. He understands her feelings of why she is killing these women and teamed up with her, creating one of Ivona's most dangerous criminals. A pair underneath one terrible name: Jack the Ripper.

One thing that he cannot do is cook, bake, anything that involves a kitchen. Unless you want him to poison a whole crowd at a dinner, don't even let him get hear the kitchen.

A man who was not only the head of the Spears military family, but a famous assistant instructor at Bellcius academy. He has a son named William T. Spears, who at first, despised Grell, but believed that he may be useful in someway. So, they took him into their house to taught him the important things of military, business, and fighting while making him work around the house. The other servants shown him the ropes and taught him other vast activities like horseback riding. At the age of ten, Grell became a butler for the house. After a few years later, Mr. Spears fell sick with a terrible illness and needed to rest. William became the head of the house, taking over for him.

Since William has taught him a lot and met Madam Red a few times before, he sent Grell off to serve her for a while, but he told Grell to not cause chaos in the city and will punish him severely if he does. One night, he caught her killing a woman, which somehow both amused and gained his curiosity on why would the woman of red kill those of her gender. Since she can't have children and hated others that are careless of them, Madam Red decided to murdered them. Grell decided to help the woman, for same believes and he somewhat finds it "fun", giving him a morbid reason to do something. For the reasons of hiding himself in society, Grell disguised himself more human-like with black hair, normal teeth, and more proper appearance when he serves Madam Red. He also disguise his personality by acting childish, quiet and suicidal when he does something wrong, so nobody could tell it was him. Thus, the pair went under the alas as "Jack the Ripper"

The pair decided to murder them before they report their true identities, but Madam Red struggled to handled the young child while Grell and Sebastian fought each other. Since Madam Red is Ciel's aunt, she treated him like her only child and refused to kill him. Grell believed that she lost her use and attacked her right in front of her nephew, who commanded Sebastian to murder Grell. The two butlers faced off in a deadly battle, and right as Sebastian was about to kill Grell with his own weapon, William rescues him before it was too late. Madam Red, still holding on after a slash in the chest, was taken to the hospital after they left.
Grell was grateful for the rescue, but he wasn't off the hook. William told the other two that he'll handle Grell so he dragged him back by his hair to their home. Almost a year later, William figured out how to finish off Grell's punishment after beating him every other day. Since Grell got education and skill, as much as he hates to admit it, he gave Grell his chainsaw, some francs, a journal, and a letter. He sent Grell out of Bellcius to get a job at a ship called The Fiertia, who is the home of the Brave Vesperia guild. William believed that the guild will teach Grell some rules and matters while he tries to patch up the murders. Grell doesn't really care, but if its to get away from William, it will have to do. After searching and traveling for months, he founded the ship and after some work, he got a job on it.
And thus, it begins a new life for him.
However, the Fiertia was disbanded and Grell was out of a job. He traveled around for a while, returning home at one point to check in on everybody. After having some free time, he left home once again to find something to keep him busy. He boarded on the next ship he found in port, taking up a new job from his last one.
