scott_lynch, I have an idea for you. This may seem totally self-serving (when in truth it's only partially self-serving), but have you thought about making comics set in the Locke Lamora world? I notice you're making short novels on the secondary characters, so comics would be another way to help flesh out your world. Of course I'm thinking I could help with that considering you're busy with a new wife, plenty of novels, firefighting, and a house full of animals. It may be seem a bit like riding your coat tails by getting a comic gig by using the clout of your book, but I'm not above asking about such an opportunity. This would be a job I would take seriously and not just a lark. Besides I do like the book (I just don't like Locke) and since I know it's your creation, I would do my best to live up to the quality of your creation. If you want, I can do it all official-like and make up a proposal and pitch it to you. I don't know how the rights are setup, but I know at worse case you could talk to the book publisher and they would get a deal set up with a comic publisher and I'll be left out. But it's your property, so that's totally understandable.
