"'Tis," Charlie says simply. "'m glad Richard suggested this. Doubly glad no one's asked you where your passport is." He smiles and strokes Darien's head.
"But do you have it with you? Or even back in the flat? Didn't think of that a'tall. Of course, you're not coming and going by any traditional means so it's not as vital as it could be."
"Of course," Charlie says and moves off him to sit on the grass again. "I've never had a relationship last this long before. It's been kinda--nice. You know?"
"I can't say I've-- well, okay, life's been better, but if you subtract the death, insanity, mayhem, terrorism, and forced employment, I've never had a better seven months in my life."
