Family Christmas ...

Dec 25, 2004 19:54

I'm glad this is the last family christmas.
It's not worth all the agrivation.
I had a nervous breakdown this morning.
Nick was on the computer when he should have been showering.
The baby was fussy.
I had to make breakfast, pack the baby bag and get myself and the baby ready at the same time.
Couldn't see/wait for a street car.
The GO Bus was more expensive than planned.
The GO Bus we were supposed to get on was an express, so wasn't what we wanted.
We get to Streetsville and call to get picked up from the GO Station and the phone is busy.
We wait half an hour, then find out we'll have to wait another 15 minutes.
It turns out to be 20.
We get to my grandparents house.
All seems to be well.
Everyone loves the baby.
But the baby needs to be changed so is cranky.
Change the baby, all is well.
Time for presents.
ALL IS GREAT !!!
Except for the continueing irony of getting a coffe mug.
Getting realy nice gourmet coffee.
I stil have no coffee maker, see the irony.
Time for dinner.
Dinner is steller as always.
Excet there are bones in my stuffing.
And I only get one plate because the baby is sleeping and I'm watching him and talking with my aunt, sister and grandmother.
That's all right.
Because according to my grandfather, I'm too fat.
We relax for awhile and my sister's Ex drops by to pick his son, my nephew.
It took alot of strength to keep my mouth shut.
He chopped off my sister's hair and is nothing like a father to his son.
Everyone is heading out.
Nick's mom is on the way to pick us up.
We get home.
I start panicing again.
We left in a hurry and the house is a mess and I can't clean it up.
I'm too tired.
Nick's mom saves the day and helps tidy.
I feed and put the baby to sleep.
Nick takes out the garbage.
I go to the store for this and that.
Now I'm relaxing eating korean noodle soup while my husband and son nap.
That is my christams day.
Now leave me alone.
I'm going for a nap, too.
