Weekly Whinge 17 Feb 2008

Feb 17, 2008 21:45

The week's been overall uneventful. I don't even remember what I did for most of it. There was some emailing, some driving around Louisiana to count tools, lots of tours given to visiting groups today and yesterday. I dunno. It all blurs together.

I did see my YAV site coordinators earlier this week and had dinner with them. Yum. It was nice to get away from everyone and everything related with First Pres Slidell.

This is my year of eating unhealthily. If I cook for myself, it's ramen or something else that I can add water, heat, and eat. If the volunteers feed me, it's usually some sort of casserole or something high-calorie. If neither apply, sometimes a coworker takes me out to dinner just to escape the center, and then sometimes other people take me out to dinner. And then I have care packages from home and girlfriend filled with chocolate. And on top of that, I buy half-price valentine candy for myself. Is eating lots of Necco Sweethearts (FAX ME, WHIZ KID, I'M SURE, NO WAY) a violation of simple living? I have a difficult relationship with food, living on the edge of gluttony and knowing full well the ethics (e.g. 'Fast Food Nation', Sociology of Food course) and unhealth behind it. I dunno.

I applied for a job at ATF I'm not going to get, doing A/V work for them. Looking for other jobs I can apply for. If someone needs a professional napper, I'm there.

I dunno. Just the usual here. Hope all's well with everyone else.
