dreams eerveetee: Amara slipped back inside, the house, tucking her hands into the jeans she had been forced to wear by the scary guy with the squirell hair. Stupid
git. Should tell the DL on him. She wandered around the strange new house they
had stopped in, though she wasn't complaining. She had her own room which was very
far from DL's and Peter's room. Though Peter was pleasently absent lately. Though
that meant she was bloody hungry. She was thinking about going to see if the
squirell on Roddy's head still tasted good when she saw the DL sitting by himself
in one of the many rooms.
swirled violets: Voldemort was in an arm chair with his feet up on the seat of another chair in front of him, reading a book. His magic had scattered, but even broken Voldemort could do many things, and among this was change some of his appearance. No longer dark but sandy-haired, and now less threatening, his eyes were still the vivid red, slit-pupiled things that they were.
dreams eerveetee: Amara scampered into the room, jumping into his lap, sending the book totally flying across the room, most likely never to be found again. "DLLLLL!" she yelped happily, cuddling and purring, before looking up at him and remaining still for once.
swirled violets: Voldemort just blinked and shrugged, incredibly used to Amara and her somewhat... lopsided... way of doing things.
dreams eerveetee: "Whatcha doing?" she asked, swinging her feet back and forth over the edge of the chair, staring intently at the Dark Lord, though scoping behind him for anything that could possibly be edible.
swirled violets: "I was reading," Voldemort said. Unsurprisingly, he let Amara get away with more things than anybody else, probably because of the fact he found her simply enchanting. But since he was Lord Voldemort, after all, nobody ever
guessed. "What are you doing?"
dreams eerveetee: "Looking for Roddy. So I can eat the thing on his head." she said, always willing to confide her plans to her DL. Especially considering the fact that he was more likely to grin and not punish her. Except when it came to Peter. Which made tormenting Peter more fun.
swirled violets: "There's something on Rodolphus' head?" Voldemort asked, frowning slightly. "I thought I told that man to bathe."
dreams eerveetee: "Dead squirell that was eating a chipmunk." Amara answered
knowingly. "Posing as his hair!" she stroked her chin then, squinting her
eyes. "Wonder if he's bald underneath that or has some really wacky hair color or
something."
swirled violets: "I think he's just being eccentric," Voldemort said.
dreams eerveetee: "But I still want to eat it." she answered, curling up in a new
position and looking around for some cat nip the DL usually kept in his
pockets. "How long are we staying here?"
swirled violets: Voldemort didn't seem to mind her going through his pockets. "You
shouldn't eat dead animals, Amara, they aren't healthy. But we'll be staying until
the end of May."
dreams eerveetee: "What's today?" she asked, only half listening, and never having
been good with those numbers and names of those things called months and such. She
squeed triumphantly as she found some catnip and tumbled off the chair, pouncing on
it and rolling around on the floor.
swirled violets: Voldemort sat up and balanced his elbows on his knees, watching
her roll about, "It's the sixteenth of May."
dreams eerveetee: "Are we going to where Bella is?" she asked, pausing in her
catnip molestion to look back up at him.
swirled violets: Voldemort shook his head, "No."
dreams eerveetee: "Why not?" Amara asked, pouting and abadoning her catnip as she
went to rest by Voldemort's leg, half heartedly "clawing" at it.
swirled violets: "Because Bellatrix is dead, and we must not follow her," Voldemort
said firmly.
dreams eerveetee: "Dead?" Amara asked, looking up, confused.
swirled violets: "Yes."
dreams eerveetee: "Why can't we go there?" Amara asked, pulling herself back up
into his lap.
swirled violets: Voldemort wrapped his arms around the last thing he could call a
daughter. "Because I say so."
dreams eerveetee: "But I want Bella." she said, pouting and feeling a strange feeling that she wasn't use to feeling well up inside her. It felt icky.
swirled violets: "I do too," Voldemort said, "But we can't get her back. Not now, Amara. I am not strong enough, you are not strong enough, and there is nothing yet
that can breath life into the dead."
dreams eerveetee: "You came back. Peter brought you back. Can't I bring Bella back?" Amara asked, looking sad and hopeful at the same time.
swirled violets: "I wasn't dead, Amara," Voldemort said softly.
dreams eerveetee: "Can't Squirell man and I bring Bella back?" Amara
whimpered. "Bella likes us. She wants to be with us."
swirled violets: "You can try," Voldemort said, "but I think our efforts would be
better put to use against the ones that took our Bella away."
dreams eerveetee: "Who took her?" Amara asked angrily, sitting up again. "If they
took her, we can her back from them.'
swirled violets: Voldemrot shook his head. "She was taken, but is not in their
hands anymore. But it was Harry Potter, as it always is."
dreams eerveetee: "Why is he so mean to us?" Amara asked, sitting back again,
frustrating at her lack of understanding the Evil Potter thing.
swirled violets: "Because we are the enemy," Voldemort said, shrugging.
dreams eerveetee: "Why are we enemies though?" Amara asked blankly and blandly, her
eyes dulling over as she got tired of trying to understand.
swirled violets: "Because I am a terrible man," Voldemort said simply. "And you
follow me. That is why."
dreams eerveetee: "But you're nice." Amara protested, snuggling closer next to
him. "You were nice to me whenever else was mean."
swirled violets: Voldemort sighed. "It is complicated," he said quietly, twisting a
wisp of her dark hair around a forefinger.
dreams eerveetee: "I don't like it." Amara answered, leaning her head on his
shoulder.
swirled violets: "Whyever not?"
dreams eerveetee: "Because they're mean to us. And take Bella and others away."
she answered. "And I like Bella. She's fun."
swirled violets: "She is." Voldemort agreed. He was beginning to get a sensation
prickling his skin, the way it always did when he was around Amara for awhile.
There was something locked in Amara that he couldn't get out, he believed, and it
irritated. Or maybe it was jsut him.
dreams eerveetee: Amara was quiet for a few more moments. "Where are we going
after this then? Will there be better things to eat then Roddy's hair?" she
questioned.
swirled violets: "Of course there will," Voldemort said, smilnig slightly. "It will
be in the Bahamas, after all. Ever been there?"
dreams eerveetee: "I don't know," Amara said shrugging, and starting her search for
more catnip, as she was too lazy to go down and retrieve the first bit off the
floor.
swirled violets: "You should leave that stuff alone," Voldemort said, "it's not
good for you."
dreams eerveetee: "Why not?" she asked, still searching in his pocket. "You have
it with you."
swirled violets: "Just don't eat too much," Voldemort warned, "I don't like you
getting addictions."
dreams eerveetee: "But it tastes good," she pointed out, giving him the puppy-dog-
eye look.
swirled violets: "Still," Voldemort said, and deemed that was enough.
dreams eerveetee: "All right." Amara agreed knowing the the DL was usually right
about these kind of things anyway.
swirled violets: Voldemort stroked her hair, "What have you been up to lately?"
dreams eerveetee: "I ate some Chinese Checkers today." she answered casually. "And
made fun of Roddy."
swirled violets: "Have you tried any magic?"
dreams eerveetee: Amara shook her head, still poking at the cat nip experimentally.
swirled violets: "You should work on it," Voldemort said, "You'd be very good."
dreams eerveetee: "I don't like it. It brings bad things." she answered, looking
up at him, waiting for his answer.
swirled violets: "What kind of bad things?" He asked kindly.
dreams eerveetee: Amara wrinkled her nose and shook her head, not liking to think
about the place that had been deemed the "bad place" in her mind, that involved
magic a lot. And lots of pain.
swirled violets: "I do magic," Voldemort said, "and I do good things for you,
remember?"
dreams eerveetee: "But I don't do magic." Amara said softly, not understanding why
her DL wanted her to remember the bad place.
swirled violets: "Very well, Amara," Voldemort said, detecting the negative note in
her voice.
dreams eerveetee: "They were mean there is all," Amara said, trying to please him
and not remember at the same time.
swirled violets: "And I'm very sorry for that," Voldemort said. "Truly, my dear."
dreams eerveetee: Amara curled up closer to him. "I'm glad I'm with you." she
murmered.
swirled violets: Voldemort ran the pad of one thumb lightly over the scars on her
wrist. "You're the only daughter I've got left," he said, whispering so only she
could hear, "You're my little girl, Amara."
dreams eerveetee: "I love you," she whispered softly, starting to feel sleepy now
that she finally had found a safe place.
swirled violets: Voldemort didn't respond, just held his death eater close and
decided to just let her sleep.
dreams eerveetee: She purred lightly, rubbing her cheek against his shoulder again,
and fell asleep.
