POINT IN CASE. The following is from a phone conversation between our darling lovebirds while on a case, like Danny's at a crime scene and Steve is on a ship, a few feet away from a man holding 7 people hostage with a gun:
Danno: *looks around for Chin, see's he's not there* You miss me, don't you?
Steve: Oh yeah, I wish you were here but you don't swim, do you?
Danno: I don't swim? I swim. Very well, actually. I just choose not to.
Steve: *distracted* Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Old guy: You talking to your wife?
Steve: I'm talking to my partner.
Old guy: *shakes his head*
THIS IS WHY I HAVE SUCH A HARD TIME SHIPPING DANNY OR STEVE WITH ANYONE ELSE. I try but it never feels as right. I don't get the same satisfaction these two idiots are with anyone but each other. :3
And now I want fic where Steve teaches Danny how to swim. Because we know that fucker's all talk.

- Shirtless!Steve (and closely related, wet!Steve and sweaty!Steve)
- Danny's gravity defying hair (I wanna run my fingers though it~)
- Kono's vest of GQMF and her mad art skillz
- Crazy-eyes!McGarrett and the incredibly un-sane* suspect tackle of insanity. Like. Danny would have totally shit a brick if he'd seen it. A friggin' brick.
- Steve's almost-tears of nostalgia because omg this random old dude totally knew my grandfather, hearts in my eyes~ and whatnot
- Steve's look of long-suffering (hey, this is usually Danny's deal and you know it) when he's locked in the bathroom and Danny's being a pain in the ass with 'How does that not make sense to you?" and "What do you think I'm doing?" and just the many, many lulz that came from that phone conversation because Steve never says anything about it, oh no. He knows that would just start an even bigger shitstorm from Danny when he got home.
- Catherine from Intelligence! I realize she's Steve's forreals love interest and you might think I'd be all deathglares and voodoo dolls of hate because she gets in the way of Steve and Danny's epic romance but I'm not. She's awesome and smart and did I mention, awesome? Also, the fact that Danny says "I already sent [the manuscript] over to your friend Catherine in Intelligence" gives some credence to the OT3ness that sometimes occurs in my brain. And I see you over there rolling your eyes! Wtf-ever. Y'all know she'd love the Dan-man to little bits and pieces. :P
