Watched the second Galileo movie, Suspect X and okay, I see what you mean now about the ghei now, Tris.
Ishigami is Tsutsumi Shinichi!!! It's the guy from
Sailor fuku to kikanjuu (aka Sailor Suit and Machine Gun aka The Yakuza Girl) that I posted pictures of
here. Aww, he's so... asdkjfhsdjfh!cute. I want to pet him. :3
Okay so, there's this one scene towards the beginning, where the police boss guy (?? didn't catch his name) is complaining that they haven't managed to catch the suspect yet blah blah blah and he calls out Utsumi, the only girl in the room full of men, to get him some coffee. NEVER MIND that she was in a discussion that could have been pertinent to the case and NEVER MIND that there were 5 or 6 guys standing around Kusanagi doing fuck-all, this asshole had to go and pull the gender card. Loser. Though I'm not at all mad at the writers/directors for putting that in because it does happen but I'm wondering why the heck they bother to put it in and not address it!
I know it's not important to the story but... it just kind of annoyed me. ><;;
[What's up?
I was musing what to eat and remembered your box lunch place.
And you came all this way?
When I get an idea in my head I can't let it go.]
OMG Yukawa. Stop flirting with the suspect! Don't be so sweet to him when you're probably going to send him to jail at the end. ETA: Okay, so Ishigami turned himself in and now I wonder. If he hadn't done so, would Yukawa have done it on his own? Even believing that he'd murdered the homeless man?
(And now for the Completely Random Question: In Japan, is it common for them to have what looks like a task force of 30+ cops working a single case? Because it seems like overkill... then again, if it works...)
[My sophomore year in college... I saw a man on campus frantically scribbling notes.
Yes, this is spicy.
Activates the brain cells.
It does not activate the brain cells.
Continue.
So I asked him, "Why are you doing that? The Four Color Theorem was proven over 20 years ago." Know what he said? "But it's not a beautiful proof." It made me happy. I'd found someone I could relate to.]
That is sweet and yet also somewhat depressing. :/
Mountain climbing = some kind of weird foreplay? Or not exactly foreplay but... it felt kind of date-ish to me? Idk, man. I'm cracked.
Ishigami reminds me of a turtle. It's the way he moves. It's especially noticeable when they were on the mountain. 'Slow and steady wins the race' seems to be his motto.
[It's over, Ishigami.
Is it? I don't think you're satisfied that you have final proof. Still, you could tell people your theory. Why haven't you?
'Cause you're my friend.
I don't... have any friends.]
>.> Ishigami is so so so emo but I can somewhat understand it. Loneliness is not something that is easy to ignore and for the socially awkward (though I can't say I'm even close to being as socially awkward as he was) it's not easy to change or get over. Though Ishigami, didn't seem to do anything to try to change that.
It's funny because he's a lot like Yukawa only not. Yukawa isn't a social butterfly by any means. If it doesn't relate to physics or logic in some way, shape, or form he ignores it and Ishigami seems to be the same with math. But, Yukawa puts himself out there in social situations. He attends Physics conventions (or whatever you call it) and does social activities (boxing and what looked like handball but I'm sure that wasn't what it was called, among other types of activities) so even if he doesn't go looking for people to socialize with, he puts himself in places where people can see him and inevitably be drawn to him if they so choose. Ishigami is quite the opposite. He stays in his own little bubble and seems to do everything he can not to disrupt it (like when he's teaching, he should be in charge of the class and get them to calm down but he doesn't) and even the things he likes to do, like climbing? He usually does alone.
Yukawa looked absolutely heartbroken when he found out Ishigami turned himself in. D:
[What a shame. Such a wonderful mind... had to be wasted on this.
You're the only one who would say that, Yukawa.
Why go to such lengths to protect her? What happened?]
Yukawa cried. Or he would have, if he let himself, you know he would have. To Yukawa, the most unquantifiable variable of all is love. He's never felt it (which makes me wish I knew what his childhood was like) so he doesn't understand it and I'm not sure if he believes it doesn't exist or if he wants himself to believe that he believes it doesn't exist.
So yeah. Them's my thoughts. >.> I have to say that it was nice to see Yukawa thrown so off balance for once. I'm almost kind of sad there isn't more.
ETA: One line on
Naruto 445 and that is OMFG BOO FRIGGIN' HOO. Like you're the only one who's ever gone through hard times. *rolls eyes* Hurr.
