(no subject)
The last two nights have been fun. It's just strange that after years of not having any sort of get together at my place.. there's people over.. drinking and eating pizza. Two nights in a row. Basically.. I blame Amy Sedaris.. because of her book I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence. I have the audiobook version and basically, along with her brother David Sedaris and SNL veteran Julia Sweeney, Amy Sedaris is amazing and my hero. She basically tells you how to entertain your guests in the most amazing, entertaining way.
But yeah. Tonight was fun. It was nice hanging with old friends (and one newer one.. yay Eric!!). We even broke out the old yearbooks and realized how insane we were. I think I even inadvertantly confessed to my mom about my use of pot in high school (speaking loudly while almost all the windows in the house are open? .....not smart.... I'll find out what exactly she heard tomorrow). Also.. I broke the stove.. *before* the party started. Yeah.
Holy shit.
I do miss Katie though and I wish she were here SO BAD. For a moment today (a fleeting one, but still) thought she was in town and for that one moment I was so excited. But nope. She's not here and that sucks big time. BIG TIME.
I am beginning to move on from other things though. I'll definitely take the blame for a lot of this (maybe a little more than half..) but ignoring me isn't cool. Oh well. I almost have Jenny convinced to come with me to LA for Tegan and Sara which is cool (actually I think she's all the way convinced) so the hotel/show thing won't even be a big deal. Things are looking up. And if this moving to San Diego for my EMT courses happens.. things will be looking WAY up.
