(no subject)
To those of you who have not had the "pleasure" of visiting the San Francisco aquarium.... it's not something I'd recommend. Dead and dying fish were a motif among the different areas of the place. There was a RIDICULOUS "petting" area where you got to pet rays, starfish, and these poor leopard sharks. The rays and starfish were okay but the poor sharks looked like they had given up on life. You could only "pet" them with your index finger between the first and second dorsal fins and no one was listening to the poor guy that had to say it at least 10 times while we were there (and we were there less than 5 minutes). Bottom line: people are retarded and can't follow directions (or get their kids to do so either). Though the whole premise of getting to pet sharks was just ridiculous even if they were only about 2ft long.
On a whole, though, yesterday WAS fun despite the shitty aquarium and me being so tired by the end of it all I almost slipped into a food coma after eating some amazing pizza at Zachary's (she insisted, I complied, the pizza was amazing). It was a good day and I'm left thinking "uh oh" in terms of my own feelings and how ridiculously insecure I can be. We'll see where all this goes. At the very very least, I have a new friend.
