Jen Hits Kickstarter
Hey all! I know I've been absent for... Well, forever, but things have been sort of mad since releasing the second novel in the Erin Solomon series. Now I'm running a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for production and promotion of the third novel in the series, SOUTHERN CROSS. I know times are tight, and people are asking for cash for books and campaigns and kidneys everywhere you turn, but I'm now 65% of the way to my goal of $2500... The money raised in the campaign goes toward hiring an editor, ordering a larger print run than I've been able to afford to this point, and launching an advertising campaign when SOUTHERN CROSS is released. I have until this Saturday night (technically Sunday morning, at 12:54 am) to get the full amount; if I don't hit my goal, I get nothing. 1. There will be Sex. I’m not saying who’s having it with whom and under what circumstances, except… Well, clearly Erin will be involved. And if all goes according to plan, it will be a satisfying moment for all concerned. Including you readers.
2. No shortage of Diggs-y goodness.
3. You’ll be impressed with Erin’s growth and evolution…
4. … Right up to the point when she kicks a preacher in the kneecap.
5. Have you seen the sweet schwag available to those who pledge to the campaign? Nifty trading cards. Very cool posters. E-books. Print books. And, of course, my deepest gratitude.
6. Many of Diggs’ scars - both literal and metaphoric - will be explained.
7. If Juarez hasn’t grown on you yet, I’ll bet you a nickel that he will by the end of SOUTHERN CROSS.
8. And no, that doesn’t mean the previously mentioned Sex is between Juarez and Erin. Just sayin’.

The more people buying my books, the less I have to work at other jobs. The less I have to work at other jobs, the faster I can write the next Erin Solomon novel. And the one after that. And the faster I can write the next Erin Solomon novels, the faster you find out who that creepy hooded guy is, and what, exactly, is up with Erin’s dad. It’s pretty much win-win across the board.
10. It also means that I’ll be able to hire an editor for the first time since launching this whole Solomon adventure. I think I’ve done pretty well catching typos on my own to this point, but I know I definitely haven’t caught all of them. Hiring an editor means the reading experience is that much more fun for fans.
