yeah, i do believe equal right are very important. i dont think people should be discrimated against based on anything. its common sense. minorities used to not have rights, that was OBVIOUSLY a mistake and action was taken against it. woman used to not have rights, once again, action taken. this is just the next step is making our world more accpepting of people even if they dont agree with them.

Marriage discriminates by it's definition, unless you want to take a deconstructivist view on words and meanings...then welcome to a life of none reason.

sometimes the definitions of things change. some words mean things totally different then what they meant 100 years ago. if something needs to be changed in order to make things right, then it should be done. if bush is willing to change the constitution to do something he wants to do, then why shouldnt it be ok to change it to something that he doesnt want.

The problem is the term is barrowed from religion, and is directlly offensive to anyone who follows any of the major religions with consistency. It's offensive to Christians, Jews, Mormons, and Muslims to barrow a term that is so sacred to us and apply it to something we believe is wrong and preverted.
