Ye Olde Relationship Post

IRC voted that I do this before I do the write-up on Evangeline and how she views sex, the boring prats. ♥ On with it then! Alphabetical by series because just looking at the userinfo makes it so much easier.

An asterisk by a person's name means Eva would consider taking them on as a Ministra Magi--something else I need to do a write-up on soon. TWO asterisks means she's actually made them a partner.

Wednesday Addams: They haven't spoken as much as you might think, but Eva likes Wednesday all right. Wednesday's like a Goth who can walk the walk along with talking the talk--but doesn't do so recklessly or stupidly, and has some humanity left in her.

Honshou Chizuru: Eva likes Chizuru's sense of humor and laid-back, fun-loving attitude. She blasted Chizuru with magic when Chizuru groped her, but that was nothing personal, really! Chizuru seems genuinely interested in Eva's vampiric experience, but not in a creepy or obsessive way--just casually. Eva likes that. And she's very amused that Hasegawa Chisame of all people would be involved with her.

Ishida Uryuu: Ishida reminds Evangeline of Sakurazaki Setsuna back home: someone whose happiness in life stands to be torn apart by their obsession with duty and subsequent lack of social skills. In the same position with Setsuna, Evangeline advised her to choose her duty or "a happy life" exclusively and leave the other behind; at that time Asuna argued with her that a person can have both. Evangeline is becoming convinced of the truth of this after her time at camp, but knows that Ishida isn't the sort of person who will have an easy time with that or even find it possible, and because she is genuinely fond of him she tries to urge him to give up his duty and begin building a normal life. Eva views Ishida as being very young emotionally and someone who may end up slipping into an area beyond redemption or true happiness if he continues on his current path--much as she herself did over a thousand years ago. She'll do what she can to prevent this out of boredom, a strange sense of duty, and yes, actual fondness.

Bob the Angry Flower: Evangeline has rather bad hay fever. . . . She HATES Bob. XD

Buffy Summers (*): Buffy is sort of Eva's mental foil for Ishida. Buffy has a Destiny, one which she's extremely aware of and which forces her into frequent mortal combat, but despite this manages to keep up a social life and a relatively healthy outlook. Eva respects Buffy immensely for this. Their circumstances are different, but Buffy is still managing something which Evangeline had convinced herself for a time wasn't possible to achieve. Buffy faces her duty with a subjectivity that might get her into trouble at times, or even seem amoral to a by-the-books guy like Ishida or Setsuna, but which Evangeline recognizes as necessary to balance out happiness and survival. Oh, and she's also got a sharp wit and a decent head on her shoulders. Eva Respects Buffy--very few campers could say the same.

Kagami Taro (* pending): One of Eva's willing blood donors. She thinks he's cute, and is a bit grateful to him for helping care for her when she was ill--he reminds her a bit of Negi, actually! She also senses a certain amount of magical potential in him which may explain his strange aging phenomena, heh. Oh, and she can sense Ryuk as well, making the boy all the more interesting to her.

L They haven't interacted much, but Eva admires his intelligence, which is about all she knows of him.

Mello: She hasn't interacted much with him either, but was entertained by their conversation and digs his fashion sense. XD

Near: And again they've only spoken a few times. Eva knows Near is very intelligent and observant, and will keep this in mind if she ever wants someone to bounce ideas about the camp off of. With both Mello and Near, she's rather amused that they've made friends with Chisame of all people.

Raistlin Majere: He's new at camp, but she's very interested by this new mage and the power he might have. She'll keep in touch with him.

Huang Yue Ying: Eva doesn't know Ying that well yet personally, but Ying is another she Respects--intelligent, skilled, down-to-earth, and ultimately able to acknowledge and work with her own flaws to a extent. She would not mess with Ying.

Sohma Yuki: She dislikes Yuki strongly after he talked her into a POKEMON BATTLE against Ash which left her groped by vines, drained of magic, and on the losing side. Blaming him for all this is a bit irrational, but she does it anyway, and with relish!

Uotani Arisa: They met during Eva's first moonlight hunt, and Uotani immediately outted her to the rest of the camp as a vampire. Eva doesn't hold a grudge for this, and even has a certain amount of respect for it--they've spoken since then and they get along just fine, after all the vampire stuff was dealt with and out in the open.

Alphonse Elric: Eva's rather fond of Alphonse. They've had a few good discussions about alchemy and magic and the like, and he's a sweet and naive yet capable and thoughtful boy. Again, he reminds a bit of Negi.

Kishimoto Kei: Those two-gallon jugs of milk are such a pain in the ass. XD

Athrun Zala (**): Oh Athrun. Athrun is Evangeline's Favorite at camp. He started out confronting her over having taken blood from Momoko, and eventually they got to talking (with some mutual animosity, of course) about this and that and that other emo thing. Athrun amused Eva as someone who could carry on a decent conversation over tea but was still repressed and held faulty ideals which were fun to pick on--much like Ishida. (For awhile she lumped them together a bit in her head as nearly one entity.) She came to enjoy interacting with him quite a bit, but didn't Respect him (capital letter yes) until he performed the ritual to reanimate Anakin. At that point she realized that while he was a bit repressed, absurdly emo at times, and had ideals he might get carried away with--he also had a decent head on his shoulders, a lot of courage and stubbornness, and could genuinely care for and sacrifice for others without being completely paralyzed by either emotion or duty. Later events have reinforced this in her mind, along with his intelligence, dependability and dry sense of humor, and Evangeline greatly respects and trusts Athrun now. She still sees him as very flawed and capable of making stupid decisions, but hey, he is a puny mortal after all! XD Her fondness for Athrun means that she imposes upon him often--that's just her way of showing that she likes someone.

Heine Westenfluss: Does a damn good cup of tea and can hopefully save Ishida from himself. Eva approves!

Kira Yamato: She promised Athrun she wouldn't bite him back when she was without willing donors, but after meeting him she thinks Kira's an idiot.

Shinn Asuka (*): Evangeline likes Shinn a great deal. She's never exactly sure what to make of him or how much of him is THERE in his mind, but that's not the kind of thing that bothers someone like her! Eva's feelings on Shinn are varied and difficult to explain, or for her to make sense of--she's amused by him, pities him, admires him a bit, relates to him, is utterly confused by him, and feels protective towards him all at once. One of the most interesting mortals she's ever met! She's also flattered and amused by his reactions to her, such as they are. And she doesn't begrudge him trying to kill Athrun. Que sera sera! XD She doesn't think anything will ever come of it anyway. If something did, and she were forced to choose--she'd choose Athrun, but would take Shinn out painlessly and non-fatally, without personal anger.

Yzak Jule: They don't talk much, but she joined his chess club and thus considers him a man of good taste. XD

Tom Riddle: cryfuckuwolf notwithstanding, Eva dislikes Tom. They've only spoken face-to-face once, but Eva got an immediate sense off of him as being an extremely powerful and charming dark mage--and she doesn't trust this. Some of it is a sort of territorial, "no room in this town for the both of us" feeling, but some of it stems from genuine concern for the camp's inhabitants and even her own well-being. Eva is painfully aware of what she is and rather than being attracted to those like her, she proceeds with caution and extreme distrust. Tom is simply too much like her--especially in her violent youth--for her comfort. She's a lone wolf at heart. Another wolf in the vicinity, who might one day be sniffing around her favorite sheep, Will Not Do.

Lemina Ausa: Eva considers Lemina to be extremely foolish. Lemina tried to recruit her into a Guild of Mages when they first met, and this rubs Eva the wrong way for many reasons--the lone wolf thing, not trusting any Guild that would want her as a member, and the great magical wars in her own world that stemmed from the division of mages into factions exactly like that.

Hasegawa Chisame: They knew each other back in school, and Eva's opinion of Chisame hasn't changed since that time: she looks down on Chisame. This isn't to say she dislikes her exactly, and she can appreciate the girl's sense of humor--especially in as much as it's altered and loosened up a bit in her months at CFUD--but she simply doesn't see much worthwhile in Chisame. Chisame views herself as a very out-of-the-ordinary schoolgirl, and Evangeline sees her as an EXTREMELY ordinary schoolgirl, in all her centuries of experience. Chisame's not in touch with herself or with reality, and for that she deserves little regard.

Kagurazaka Asuna (*): Eheheheh. Eva and Asuna have an extremely complicated relationship, and one which I could really write an entire essay or yuri fanfiction oh wait been there done that about. Briefly: Asuna can break through Evangeline's defenses, both literally and figuratively, and Eva both respects and absolutely despises this--and perhaps enjoys it a bit too.

Daidouji Mayura: Supernatural fangirl of the initially flattering but quickly irritating sort.

Nishizono Tetora: An idiot, plain and simple. A mortal who fancies himself a bloodthirsty creature of the night but wouldn't know real darkness if it bit him in the ass, and who isn't intelligent or subtle enough to last long in this world with the obvious mental damage he has.

Yakushi Kabuto (* pending): Evangeline has an official alliance with Kabuto, and he's been extremely helpful to her in many situations: healing her, sharing information, donating blood. For all of this Eva's very grateful. At the same time, his overly helpful nature can rub her the wrong way, as does the idea of owing him anything. Because of their alliance she'll fight for him if she has to, respects his skills as a ninja and a medic, and will come to him for help when she needs it--but she doesn't find herself particularily enjoying their informal conversations because of the forced quality of his demeanor.

Ari: Another of Eva's willing donors, and one of her favorites. She feels strangely motherly towards him at times, or maybe more like a teacher or counselor. He's obviously a bundle of issues, but a self-aware one, and one that's entertaining to talk to. Eva's more willing to listen to his problems and give him counsel on them than she is with most people, because she has a big soft spot for him and his strange morbid sense of humor.

Stanley Hihat Trinidad XIV: Stupid, but quite entertaining, and they actually have quite a bit in common! Eva likes that Stan is down with his evil self.

Rosalyn: After Rosalyn's big proclamation that she was a HERO!, Eva was expecting someone very stupid and retardedly pure in heart, but after they spoke she's pretty sure Rosalyn's neither. XD

Sunako: Eva thinks Sunako is a sort of idiot combination of Mayura and Tetora.

Ash Ketchum: HATES HATES HATES Ash after the Pokemon Battle incident, and after his repeated insistence that she's a Pokemon. Doesn't consider him worth the oxygen he's using up on the planet.

Kaiou Michiru: Eva knows she's a magical girl, and that they fought on the night of Eva's first full moon in camp. Since then they seem to have reached a sort of agreement, and Eva respects her as a powerful adversary and not someone she particularily wants to cross again.

Son Goku: A powerful little entity, isn't he? Eva's not sure what to make of something so obviously powerful and yet childish.

Heather Morris: Kabuto's girlfriend. That's really all Eva knows of her. She felt a bit put out when Heather asked her to help with tracking Kabuto down after his kidnapping, because Heather's involvement made it feel less like she was out searching for an ally and more like she was doing a good deed for a person she'd never met--something Eva's not at all comfortable with. More irrational feelings and she knows it, but they are still there!

Anakin Skywalker: Athrun's ridiculously emo poetic boyfriend, in Eva's mind. She generally enjoys talking to him, though, and was impressed by his decision as a ghost to facilitate his own return to camp rather than moving on--objectively stupid as it might have been, it showed a lot of resolve, decisiveness and dedication.

Momoko Hanasaki: Eva thought Momoko was an idiot at first who was entirely capable on her own but was being convinced that she wasn't by her overprotective and rash boyfriend Boyue; that kind of thing doesn't sit well with her. Then when Momoko grew up physically and mentally for a time, Evangeline was extremely uncomfortable around her for various reasons. Eva doesn't deal at all well with being around genuinely, unrepentantly good-hearted and frank people. XD Right now she's still wibbling between disliking Momoko intensely and having a sort of fondness for her, since Momoko's been nothing but helpful and kind to her in the past (something else which also doesn't always sit quite right with Evangeline). They haven't spoken in depth since Boyue left camp.

Urameshi Yuusuke: Eva likes Yuusuke! He's impressively powerful, has a good sense of humor, has a sense of honor, and has good instincts. Yuusuke is just fine by her.
