How do I use a button to link to a community or journal?
Want to use one of my buttons to link to this community? Awesome! Here's how you do it.
Using HTML:
1. Pick the button you want to use, right-click, save, and upload to your own server (like Photobucket.com).
2. Next, type in this code:![]()
Done!
If you want to pimp the community in an LJ post to your friends, though (which would be amazing, by the way) and you use Rich Text, here's how you do that:
Rich Text (If you click the links, it will show you a picture of what to do) :
1. Pick the button you want to use. Right-click, save, and upload to your own server (1A) OR upload directly to LJ (1B).
1A. If you uploaded to a different server, though, then just click Insert/Edit Image, put the link to the image under "URL" and click "OK."
1B. If you want to upload to LJ, go to the Insert/Edit Image button, Click the "Upload" tab, Browse and find the image you want to use, and then click "Insert." It will then redirect you. Wait until the image shows up, and then click "OK."
2. Click the picture. It should now have a little box around it indicating that it is selected.3. Go to the Insert/Edit Link button. Copy and paste the URL to the community (http://LJ USER NAME HERE.livejournal.com) and click "OK."
