Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
1. Deborah - Looks like I’ve disappeared on you again! And I’m afraid it’s come down to this; the Nexus needs my blood analyzing skills more than you need me for the latest crime scene. It’s a terrible, unthinkable crime! Until I’m able to get back, I hope you’ve turned to Kyle on this. He’s with the OGA. He’s an important government person. Surely he would be able to come up with a brilliant cover up.
2. Rita - I am so sorry. Really, I am. I know you’re worried sick about me, not being able to help you make plans for us to marry, then go to Paris. I’ll be all right, I promise. Please hug and assure the kids for me. The wedding can afford to be postponed. I don’t want you to end up hurt because of me… My poor, frustrated, overworked TV self.
3. Cody - Don’t worry about me! Look after your sister while I’m gone. I’ll get you a souvenir. Either that, or all new bedtime stories. You’re going to have to wait until I get back. Remember: if you’re going to learn anything, you’re going to have to do it my way. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.
4. Astor - Look after your brother, and help out your mom through the stressful times to come. I know. I promised. I promised you and Cody both to show you stuff, but this is out of my hands. If you’re out there, listening in, I hope you can understand this. Don’t let Cody do anything that leads to separating our family up. Just do it for me until I can get back.
5. Kyle Chutsky - Take care of my sister. Help her all you can. Use all your connections and resources to do this, because I think I’m going to be away for quite a while... We’ll talk about all the crazy Nexus stuff over beers and the best Cuban cooking around. My treat.
6. Dr. Xargin - Hanging in there, buddy? Hopefully Brain hasn’t made too much of a mess.
7. Sasha - We’ll get through this. And with my blood analyzing expertise, maybe, just maybe, I’ll discover something no one hasn’t. Well, then again, I got Dr. Bones McCoy on my side. He has advanced technology that I don’t have.
8. Genesis - My first day back in the Nexus… Well, I met another person from forensics. She’ll be my lab partner in finding the cure for those poor infected people. There’s also two more doctors to look into this. Got my first drone blood sample after two people shot up two Amalgams near my car as it got a temporary impromptu paint job! Oh, and let’s not forget about meeting Ms. Amanda Werner of the XAT, and a motorcyclist made of shadows. [He smiles.] How has your day been?
9. Masaomi - I’m glad I got the chance to meet you. And I’m sure someone out there will give all of what Izaya deserves. Just wait and see. If I’m able to do anything about it.
