Okay, I have worked out the plot of the final mission for G&B Season One. It is called "Poison in the City," and deals with a sleazy money-grubber who is literally* poisoning the city with untreated runoff and spills from the new chemical plant.
I will shamelessly confess I stole the plot idea from an episode of "Sliders" I was watching at the time I was trying to think of a new plot for a mission, after my Brain stole my original idea for a different mission. Well, the bare bones of the plot.
I will also happily confess that I sent a note to
Star Kayak, begging for help with the plot. Because I can't plot my way out of a paper bag, and Star has some really great original plots in her "Captain Chronicles" series. Star was extra helpful and had oodles of ideas for an epic movie! I was a little leery of some of the ideas, buuuuut... they did make a terrific jumping-off point for some new plottiness that has the same themes, but different action.
Anyway, there will be some edge-of-your-seat action, interpersonal conflicts, and some of you will be quite happy to know there will be some severe bodily injury taking place! Oh, and I should warn you... the codename/working title of this part is "The Male Slash episode." But... well, that's mostly Felicity's fault. You don't need to read too much into the subtext, there. Well, unless you enjoy that sort of thing ;D
The good news is, the first parts are pretty much written, so there won't be a delay with those. The third quarter is pretty much defined and halfway written. The second quarter ought to work itself out soon enough... (I think). The end should be fine, and then there's aftermath... of which there's a big chunk I haven't figured out yet. But I decided to put G&B on a bi-weekly schedule, so that will give me 7 weeks to work on it.
So yes, I posted "Clear Air" this Monday (only one week and two days late), but I'm still shooting for this Saturday for part one of "Poison in the City." That way, my G&B and B&Z stories won't have chapters falling due on the same week.
(*) World "literally" used literally, as in "un-figuratively." :P
