[She slips on a voice transmission to hide the fact that she's been crying, though once she begins to speak it's pretty obvious anyway.]

Just how are you awake and not in the hospital?!

[Sighing, the sound of rustling is heard as she readies herself to head off.] Tetsu-kun's still that sick? Yeah, I'll bring over some more medication. Does "here" mean your apartment?

[Around more like thirty-minutes later, Kaname knocks on the door. It was rather uncharacteristic of her to be late at all, but maybe he wouldn't notice.]

Okita-san, I'm here with the supplies you'll need for Tetchan. [She grabbed her handkerchief and blotted her cheeks once more to make sure she erased any evidence, though her overall disheveled appearance made it obvious she had been laying in bed for most of the day.]

[luckily for you...he didn't notice. He was too busy being a worry wart. He opened the door and smiled warmly at her.]

[he takes in her appearance. He then pulls her in wearily. He isn't stupid, and come to think of it she did take a long time.]

Am I that easy to read? [Giving him a soft smile, she held out the supplies he needed.] You shouldn't have to worry too much about him, Okita-san. If it's Atropos, which his symptoms seem to be consistent with, he should start feeling better in a day or so.

[She smoothed her hair out a bit more as she glanced him over curiously.] But... how are you even awake?

Well I didn't take it...I decided that if I could handle being gutted like a fish, whatever the sleep was keeping me from I thought I could handle it. Now...what about you, where have you been all this time?

[Her smile quickly faded at his casual comment about happened to him and took in a sharp breath.]

Okita-san, you know I saw that all happen, right? [She couldn't suppress the pout that surfaced as she tried to stay purely scolding.] You were still sick and I... I had to leave you for a while. The last two times that happened... you... you died.... I couldn't let that happen again.

[She bit her bottom lip, avoiding his last question as she gently, yet firmly, pushed the supplies into his hands - keeping her suspiciously guilty gaze on his shoulders.]

[his eyes widened a bit, then he sighed.]

I'll probably die a lot more while I am here. I hope I wont, but I am not afraid of it, and as I told Tetsunosuke-kun, it is my duty.

[He sighed and embraces her]

[Kaname frowned hearing how he actually expected to continue dying here, letting him pull her in for a hug as she rested her forehead on his shoulder.]

Okita-san... [She spoke softly.] Just how many times do you think you're allowed to die here? I don't know, maybe we can die hundreds of times, but... What if there's a limit? Even then... all that aside...

[Her eye twitched a little before she quickly pulled back and flung a roll of gauze directly at his forehead.] Stop puttin' yourself in situations to get killed!!! Weren't you in the Shinsengumi? Don't you know how to wait for back up!? JEEZE! Ya gotta learn to be responsible about NOT DYING!

Yeah, I do. Remember the Lavos explosion? I was in the hospital and horribly injured. [She looked to her feet at that, seeing as she just admitted she hid this from him and all.] Really, I don't understand how I lived getting impaled by glass like that... Anyway! He found me and rescued me since I couldn't move... [She smiles softly at that before grinning at him.] After that he's always kept an eye on me.
