Thank you... everybody. Thank you so much.

I hope I can stay here always, with such wonderful friends. I'd give a lot of things to have that wish always be reality.

It's weird, though -- I don't feel like an "adult" yet -- maybe it's because my body stopped aging, but I guess that's something that takes time.

[Negi has no problem just holding on for a moment, resting his chin on Al's shoulder before he pulls away, a soft smile on his face.]

[He stands, picking up his staff, getting on.]

If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise.

[In seconds, they're off he ground and in flight. Negi won't voice it, but he loves flying with Al, being this close to him. It's one of the small comforts he can gather from what they do have.

It doesn't take long, and Negi alights on the roof of a building several stories tall. There's nothing remarkable there, really.]

[Al took the opportunity to nuzzle into his shoulder and the side of his neck, breathe in how his shampoo smelled and how his hair felt against his cheek. He's a little reluctant to let go when they do touch down, staying close.]

[Even after touching down, Negi doesn't dismount quite yet. It's one of the rare moments they get to themselves, and he's not about to break it until Al wants to. He's... rather enjoying it, really, and he closes his eyes, putting his hands on Al's.]
