What is a piano?

A piano is a stationary musical instrument played via fingering keys on a wide keyboard attached to small felt hammers, which impact steel strings to create musical notes. The strings vibrate to a bridge which connects to a soundboard that amplifies them.

It's like a really big, complicated harp. You'll see soon enough.

Well, do you play? If it's an instrument, it must need tuning, at least occasionally. Is it in tune? Does anyone know? Where did you find it; where did it come from? How big are they? A complicated harp, eh? What colour is it?

No, I don't play, but I've always liked listening to music even if I never had time to learn. I think it's tuned, but I can't be sure. Maybe we could ask someone who knows piano. Exactly where it is right now, about a block or so from the bar. I think it merged in from some world during all the chaos last week. It's pretty big. A grand piano. There are two main types, an upright and a grand, and the grand piano is much larger... I think I've seen bigger ones than this, but it's just over two meters long. It's made of some kind of dark polished wood. I'm not sure what kind.

... well, I just found it and I doubt we'll ever find its true owner... and I'm not going to keep it, am I?

I was going to ask, we're trying to think of ways to move it without damaging it. Any ideas? Could you use magic to make it lighter, somehow?

Alchemy and magic would function differently, I wouldn't think they'd work the same on the same things. If you help with the piano, I've got the wall.

I started the milk stew this morning and it should be finished by now... it's my mother's recipe. It smells really good... and a fresh loaf of bread I got from the bakery earlier. It's still warm.
