Alchemy! It's the manipulation of matter on an atomic level through force of will. It's a science, but I've discovered it's got roots in magic and I've been studying it since I was little. I took a look at some magical primers from your world a while back and it's got some of the same elements. For instance, did you know that your spell-language, Latin, is the same language used in mundane science and in alchemy?

A lot of alchemists use it in their codes.

Really? That's amazing! I've heard about alchemy a couple of times, but I've never really seen it in action!

If alchemy and magic are distantly related...I wonder if you could learn magic, and I could learn alchemy? After all, Yue-san managed to learn some basic spells!

Yep! I figured it out when I realized the circle on Asuna's Pactio card looked like an alchemic transmutation circle. Most alchemists need a circle to transmute. There's a huge price to pay to be able to do it without one. I only paid it on accident.

I can almost manage an Ardescat with a beginner's wand. Or at least some spark-things. Asuna thought it was pretty cool.

You know, I considered that, with the last time you came here. You seemed pretty interested in it... but a lot of it is science and book-learning. Formulas, memorizing chemical reactions, that sort of thing. It's calculations. Though, you're really smart and you pick up things fast... in theory you could probably manage a few basic things even if it'd be useless in a fight.

That sort of thing has always come easy to me, so I don't think I would have much of a problem with it! Well, maybe at first, but everyone has problems at first... But yes, I would definitely be interested!

Hehe, it's the same way with magic. I remember at first, I had such a time trying to manage an Ardescat, but I was so excited when I finally made it work!

I think I could work with you on the Ardescat. If you've almost got it, there must be some little trick that you're not doing correctly.
