[Al's voice is soft with forced calm, but his breathing is irregular, and there are screams and gunshots in the distance of the background.]

[He trails off and sucks in a pained breath.]

[The bang of gunshots ring out, making various clanging and thunking noises, some alarmingly close. Al's voice gets tighter.]
Please hurry, I think --
[Two bangs in quick succession. The report of a gun, and a loud clang. And directly after that, there's utter silence.
And then a heavy crumpling noise, and Sasuke's voice.]
Al!
[The sound of a slight struggle, followed by a small sigh of relief, and then the sound of the PCD being jostled, and Sasuke speaks into the PCD.]
Alphonse's been shot. He's unconscious, but still has a strong pulse--
[He pauses for a moment to cough, and by the strange quality of his voice, it honestly sounds like he's slipping into shock, and heading towards unconsciousness himself.]
