(no subject)
Yay for presents, totally got Dark Ages of Camelot tonight from the fantastically wonderful Jen!!! I haven't installed it yet because I had too much drama goin on to fight with a machine that I don't understand how to use to it's fullest.
I finally broke down and went to health services about my back. For those of you whom haven't heard me bitching about it, it's been bothering me from work since mid may early june. I went at 9:30 am cause I was late getting up, (wanted to go in earlier) I was suppose to work at 11:06, but that didn't happen. I get there, and they take the statemment of what's bothering me, and how it happend and yadda yadda yadda. then I sit in the exam room for 20 mins for the doctor to come in and hear what's bothering me, how it happend, and yadda yadda yadda, I wait for another 20 mins, then he sends me to the opposite end of the building for xrays (it's bothersome to walk btw) and I get three done of my lower back (and the table that you lay on to be flat for the pictures is FREEZING by the way) and then I go back to my exam room, and wait about 20 minutes (By this time I was already 45 minutes late for my scheduled shift) and the doctor finally comes in and says, well I don't see any chronic injuries that are being aggravated. Well DUH!!! i told you ealier I'd never had lower back problems!!!! So he tells me that I have a Bilateral lower back strain, that I won't be working today (wednesday) and that I'll be put on restrictions (Goodbye the two days of overtime I had finally been able to pick up) That they were giving me IBprophen 800 (yay more!!!) and a muscle relaxer that is suppose to make me sleepy (yeah I took it 3 hours ago and have yet to get sleepy) for the inflamation and pain. OH, and I get to go to physical therepy for 2 weeks.
Joy! On my way home from this lovely adventure of trying to get my modified work schedule (the whole 1 day that my schedule is affected!!)and calling the pt place, and visiting Jen to have a LOVELY discussion about King's Quest and other such games, and receive my very own copy of Dark Ages of Camelot (which needs to be installed still), I realized that the friends who I booked a resort stay for were coming tonight/tomorrow, and that I'd forgotten to confirm their room. so after calling the resort, and finding out there was no way I could confirm over phone, I had to turn around in my complex parking lot (I live 45 minutes away) and drive all the way back from whence I came! get lost and go in circles for about 45 minutes trying to find the all - star sports resort, and stand in a 15 minute registration/check-in line to flash my ID at the front desk girl (not even 2 seconds) and have her say "ok you're all set." By this time, Company D (the cast member store) is closed and I need to pick up a few things from there. I called John, Jackie, Julie, and Jenni to find out they're in town tonight and were wondering about their park tickets (the reason I needed to go to company d) so now, I have to get to a company d store as it opens at 9 am (which means leaving at 8) get the tickets, and meet the friends at Magic Kingdom by 10 so I can be at my PT appointment by 10:45...*sigh* too much, I swear it's just too much!
anywho, it's nearly 2 am and I really need some form of rest for a little.
