After being signed up with the women's health online newsletter for I don't know how long, probably 6 months-1 year?, I received information about fibromyalgia, which I think I told them I had or something like that. And when I mean that I received information about fibromyalgia I mean INFORMATION. Not the usually rinky dinky little article, but a whole website with four different categories (101, coping physically, emotional support, and treating). Then under each of those categories is a ton of stuff, well probablly like six different things, but considering when I was diagnosed nobody told me anything and I didn't find this for some reason.
It's just frustrating because no doctors told me any real information nor guided me towards a site where I could find information about it. Plus because I was an "adult" I didn't receive any sort of counselor right away. (Apparently there's someone called a Child Life Specialist who helps children through situations like this, well if they go through tough times like a car accident or if their parent goes through a life altering trauma, which I keep tossing back and forth).
