[The communicator is on the ground, face up. You can see Kousuke at an angle, as well as another fighter. His face is pretty scratched up, and he's holding his right arm. Still, he looks determined.]

Kira waited outside Magnolia for the captain to arrive; he nervously checked the time twice in a minute. He had reviewed the video again, trying to make sure he knew approximately where the man had been attacked and harmed.

If he felt bad about dragging Hitsugaya into it, it was pushed down behind larger concern for the injured man.

He shifted his weight; adjusted the bag slung across his body - it was heavy with supplies, everything he could think of that he might need. Even a bit of food and water. Kira checked his watch again - then scanned the area for the petite captain.

He still didn't like the idea of meeting in front of a place like Magnolia, but Hitsugaya had quickly begun to realize that in this new place, what he liked and disliked meant even less than in his own world. And slowly, very slowly, he'd began to accept it in the back of his mind. Not that he'd ever accept everything. Definitely not. Contrary to Kira-fukutaichou's sentiments, he would never have agreed if he didn't feel the need to go himself. Perhaps he could do something productive for once, something besides shoving drugs on idiots too stupid to realize what they were really doing to themselves.

He made his way over as quickly as he could, all things considered, managing to still look demanding as he arrived late and motioned with a small nod of his head to the side as if to say, "Lead the way already."

"Captain!" Kira greeted him, hurrying to the other's side as soon as he spotted him.

"I don't know exactly where he fell, but - I've tried to pinpoint a few landmarks." He went on, a little oblivious to the fact that Hitsugaya was probably quite put out by this whole escapade.

"Uh-- T-thank you for coming with me." He said, wringing his hands in the heavy silence that followed his previous statement. Kira knew that the captain wasn't exactly a man of many words - and probably didn't think much of the weak vice-captain beside him.

Hitsugaya huffed, disregarding Kira-fukutaichou's grattitude completely and focusing on the fact that they were still standing there. "As long as you know the general direction," he finally grunted, holding out a hand to prompt the lieutenant into action.

Kira winced; the other was as brisk as ever. He led the way in silence, shoulders pulled inward as if he was expecting the captain to lash out at him at any moment.

He snorted at the noticeable wince, deciding to ignore it for more pressing matters. Hitsugaya wasn't the type to lash out needlessly, but if Kira-fukutaichou didn't stop expecting it he just might have to anyway.

Kousuke leaned against the brick wall in the alley. He really didn't want to go as far as he had, but he had no other choice. The other fighter was unconscious about thirty feet away from him, and all he could do was stare. He held back, giving him a shock that would only knock his opponent out, because at this point he really was stating to move on from that stage of his life.

Despite the burden of being one of the Blade Children, Kousuke had chose to take a more normal path in life. He wasn't the killer he once was and expected to be. Here, though, he wondered if it even mattered. After all, these guys meant business, and it didn't seem like they were in it just for the exercise.

The red head took a deep breath as his smug expression started to fade. The gash on his shoulder was starting to burn, and it was too difficult to stretch over and tend to the bleeding. Really, he hadn't expected anyone to come, the fight only recorded for the sake of having witnesses.

Hitsugaya sighed when he caught sight of the person who had sent the video. It wasn't exactly a standard reaction, but the situation quickly made it obvious to him that he probably wouldn't be needed. The unconscious body was not the redhead's, and Kira-fukutaichou was the one with Fourth Division experience, not him.

"Hey," he called out to get the other's attention, motioning to Kira to get to work. "What happened?" Sure, the video had been public, but it hadn't been the whole story. He'd prefer to know at least a little more.
