It is theft. And I think maybe they were less ready to let someone come by because it was a national holiday today. But - yeah. (Oh, he is absolutely not allowed to come into my room. The police warned him last time. But I told them he did it again, and they didn't do anything, despite what I'd been promised. And going through my bag? Illegalillegalillegal too.)
My key can't just fall off the chain. It has a system that I didn't even figure out until the Vampire explained it to me - it's something technical minds will instantly see, small screws that you have to manually remove before you can add/remove keys. But: if anything, the man has a technical mind. So facts are: someone went into my room TODAY while I was out of it (because I still had my key this morning), found my keys in my purse, took them out, removed my house key from the chain. I have to consider the option that it might be a weird action by one of his daughters, but I'm pretty sure the eleven-year-old is way too scared to even consider it and the thirteen-year-old is too obedient to try it. And if the thirteen-year-old had done it, her father would most likely know, and he wouldn't deny it. FACT: the only people in the house (as far as I know) were me, the man and his daughters.
