LOWLANDS LOWLANDS LOWLANDS!!

Update from Lowlands!

Between Damien Rice and Patrick Wolf they made every cent worth it! Damien, as always, ignored us completely - until one of his guitar's strings broke and he told us and then he forgot the lyrics and went all "oh, fuck" and laughed and was a little bit embarrassed, but we cheered and applauded all the more for it - he acknowleged us, oh God oh God. AND PATRICK WOLF OH MY GOD I'M SPAZZING AGAIN WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT. My obsession with standing at the very front of every performance/concert I go to? Yeah, I was there, and he lay on his back on the stage and THRUST UP and he rode the microphone stand (he threw his t-shirt and I would've had it if I'd switched places with my neighbour, because her neighbour (THE COW) got it and I could've totally fought along with a dozen girls and I'm stronger than most of them, anyway, GOD and then afterwards she put it in her pants and I was planning a way to get it out and then one of her friends saw me watching her and she warned her, and I was all OKAY, THEN, PATRICK, WILL  YOU PLEASE PLEASE GIVE ME THE MIC STAND?) and he stagedived (yes, I was one of those people who caught him) and he danced and came off the stage and he smiled and joked with us and we had eyecontact a bunch of times and when I made the rock sign he smiled and MADE IT RIGHT BACK AT ME and I shouted the lyrics along (Gabriel Rios, yesterday, a few hours before Patrick, seemed to love me for it. I was the only one standing at the front who could sing along to most of his english songs, and we spent over an hour exchanging glances and smiles OBVIOUSLY WITH MY HAIR EVERYBODY NOTICES ME, which is strange because Freak has the big hair that people usually notice, only there are so many people with big hair in here that suddenly I'm the one getting attention and whom everybody notices, so many times the word notice) and he half  stripped on stage (he stripped most of his clothes off) and as soon as eeveryone's home and got their heads together and put all those videos on YouTube you'll be getting a video spam post from here to Antarctica.

There's 55 thousand of us here and Damien Rice played at the same time as Mika, so all my friends went to Mika (who turned out to suck, half the audience left, apparently) and Patrick Wolf played at the same time as the Kaiser Chiefs but still the tents and the grass around it were all full for both Patrick and Damien and also I missed Devendra Banhart because I stayed after Damien on Friday in front and waited that hour for the Killers, who were really really cool too.

Also, the girl next to me told me Patrick never did Childcatcher onstage, and that was when we were still waiting for him to show up, so we decided to encourage him and show him the audience really wouldn't lynch him for it by singing it as loud as we could and I bet he heeeaaaard us because he did and waaaahhhhh it was so cool so cool so cool. And he did the song from my profile - 'and a boy like me should shut his books and JOIN THE ARMY' and 'I want: two dogs, two cats, a big kitchen and a welcome mat - I want: two dogs, two cats, a big kitchen and a welcome mat' and he closed it off with the lines everybody sung and repeated again and again 'a boy like me will never be seen fighting for peace, I said a girl like me will never be seen fighting for peace, I said girls, like you, should never be seen fighting for peace' and on and on till he jumped in with STAY HOME stay home stay home stay home! AND HE DID TRISTAN OH GOD - 'I'm the victim, and the murderer, you speak of love - but I've never heard of her! I'm fucked, and I am fucking too, my name is TRISTAN, and I am ALIVE', waaah, ten thousand people packed in a tent and a few thousand sitting outside shouting alone oh God oh God and NOW I MUST GO TO SEE NINE INCH NAILS, because I can't tell Christopher I didn't go, can I?

More about non-Patrick things (and alright, some more about him too) later. Now: Nine Inch Nails, and then perhaps I'll go to Motörhead.

I'm coming home tonight, because I need to go to GBG tomorrow. Or perhaps I'll stay tonight, and leave tomorrow morning. In any case, ciao!
