The Portugese keeper was at the wrong side of the field, but my Mother made it sound as if he'd gone standing in the wrong goal for the penalties or something.

Glad Portugal lost. They didn't deserve to get this far in.

Wasnt at the wrong side he was acting as an extra attacker to try and score a goal. He's not restricted to his net but he is not allowed to use his hands outside of his crease.

Don't explain the rules to me. I played football for years, I think I know the rules. It was just something that rarely happens in matches that are this important, and I liked it.

You might have played it but I live it. If you didnt want me to explain then dont say he was on the wrong side there is no wrong side of the field for them.
