We just finished Alexander, at last, after so many weeks. We all, of course, knew the story but it was an experience to watch it together, all twenty-one of us.
I'm not nearly as melancholic as I would've been if not for one of the last lines of the movie ("the one we now call Macros Alexandros, [makros alecandros] 'the greatest of all Alexanders'") because J. shouted 'macros is feminine!' and the room erupted in protests, laughter and scolding. Classic bores that we all are.
I just sent Esther an e-mail which'll most likely confuse/worry her. She's not used to me writing anything but cold, practical and rather detached notes. I look forward to/worry about her reply.
I want to go out (and have dinner) but am expected home and have a lot of work to do.
Head pounds like an Ez.
Can't write. Must write. Must fix one more paragraph and a title before I'm finished.
Hephaistion died.
